What do you think was the real context of the Satan!Stan photo, though?
knowing stan, just because it was “taken out of context” doesn’t mean the actual context was any BETTER. i like to think it was a halloween party ( or summerween, w/e ) a few years back … considering there’s something on fire, i’d say it’s not his own party – he wouldn’t be laughing if the shack was burning down around him.
so, let me set the scene : a cool, pleasant evening. citizens of gravity falls have gathered to celebrate their favorite holiday together – and EVERYONE’S in costume. people laugh when stan pines, mr. mystery shows up in an all-too-accurate costume; SATAN.
of course, they shouldn’t be so surprised that just because his costume is in good fun, it doesn’t mean he’ll be any more easygoing than usual. in fact, it’s the opposite. with this costume comes a hoard of kids and teenagers, teasing him. heckling him. the whole party, stan is trying to shoo them away as he completely fails to flirt with lazy susan.
eventually, he gets angry. he chases the kids. people are offended, but they don’t do anything – until he knocks over a couple candelabras. stan, unaware of the beginnings of a catastrophe, is just thrilled to see those PUNKS screaming. he laughs ; he does a jig ; he waves his styrofoam pitchfork in the air, shouting, ‘ RUNS, KIDS. RUUUN !! ‘
