When spring meets autumn 🌼🍀🍁🍂
It has been 5 years, and is the 2nd year of celebrating it in distance. 💑
Some began to ask why I eventually start 'instagramming'. Well, seems like I happen to be one of those instagram's last adapters, referring to Everett Rogers' Diffusion of Innovation theory in the study of Mass Communication. These recent days I have been exposed by consumption discourse as I join the class of Media and Consumption Culture in my department. Social media comes to me as quite a phenomenon on which various studies put interest to deal with. Around 2 or 3 years ago I came to realize that people used some unusual hashtags, mostly were abbreviations. One that quite 'captivates' my mind is OOTD which is the abbreviation of outfit of the day. With the raising of hijab fashion, also comes out now HOTD which is the abbreviation of hijab of the day. This then dragged me to wander into the world of instagram. Though these two hashtags can actually be found also on other social media, instagram seems to be the most favorable one on which people are hashtagging either OOTD or HOTD. So my reason is actually 'academically' cliche. I join instagram for the sake of my assignment, in the first place. My question is simple. Why are people OOTDing and HOTDing? I just suspect if it has something to do with consumption. Specifically social media, here is instagram, that comes to me as a new means of consumption. I suspect if there is a constellation of inner desires and external influences from other medias that drives people to put such hashtags. However, it's nice to see people sharing moments of happiness and even ideas and masterpieces on this very platform. 😊 Cheers! Hope none would be then scared of or avoid being friend with me. 😁 Good Day!

Me in Odun Pazarı, Eskişehir. This place is so wonderful! The colorful Turkish traditional houses are not the only one attraction. Here you will find various beautiful hand-made crafts as it is the center of hand-made craft makers in Eskişehir. I hope my yellow sweater still stands out over the colorful houses. 😁
The center of Eskişehir at a glance. I love Eskişehir, don't wanna come back to Umuttepe 🙊🙈😂
Me in the city center of Eskişehir. This city is gorgeous! It looks so artsy with some old buildings decorating every corner of the city. It declares itself as the capital city of the Turkish world. Eskişehir is worth visiting if you come to Turkey. Today I wore my favorite yellow sweater. Looks perfect for the autumn, right? 😁🍁🍂

This is EPIC!
Autumn in Anadolu University. This old train in Anadolu University is to mark the history of Turkey’s first train departure from Eskişehir to Ankara. 🍁🍂🚂
From the symposium. The man stood in the middle is the Vice Dean of The Faculty of Communication Sciences, Anadolu University. Hope will have further cooperation in the future 🙆
Hi✋✋ I’m in Anadolu University in Eskişehir. I’m attending the 4th Symposium of Communication Students held by the Faculty of Communication Science of Anadolu University. I hope next year I can attend the symposium as a speaker. 🙏🙏
Autumn means pumpkin season, too! 🍁🍁🍂🍂 Today while heading to Eskişehir, around Sakarya but I forget where it exactly was. Pumpkin in Turkish is called ‘kabak’. I wonder if Turkish people make pumpkin compote like what Indonesian people do. I also tasted pumpkin lokum* , it tasted nice and not as sweet as ordinary lokum. *lokum is one of famous Turkish delight.
