When generational wanderlust strikes, a trek out to the red planet in the system and back is a great one to take.
The red dust is stubborn to get off, though. She needs a good bath now that she's reentered the atmosphere. Time to find a nice hot spring.
Nets were Derecho's arch-nemesis. The blasted things littered just about every body of water large enough to cast them in.
But he had until now just assumed he got caught in them because he was stupid. Krenjot wasn't stupid. And she was stuck. As luck would have it, he was flying through the area, keen optics on the search for something that wasn't Krenjot in a net, but nonetheless spotted her.
Landing nearby, he made a cautious approach. "GOT YOU TOO? CAN HELPING. JUST CALM! SQUIRMING MAKES IT WORSE. TANGLES YOU LIKE THE FIBSH." He spoke from experience.
The familiar voice spurred Krenjot to throw her head up, though she was unaware a ripped section was also now caught on her paw. An awkward, jerking, bark of surprise left her at the revelation, but she showed no aggression towards Derecho.
"Went for a swim, caught in my horns and crest!" She complained, "An' now my paw. What is this? It tangles so easy and is annoying!"
No.. this was not comfortable or fun!
Krenjot growled and rumbled in frustration as she shook her helm and pawed at it. Crest plating clinked awkwardly and ground, pain seeping into her frame where they were getting pulled in unnatural directions.
She was just curious! She just wanted to take a quick dive in the lake to check it out! Now this weird webby stuff was all over her helm and tangled.
"Get off! Ugh!"

"ALL THE TASTY ROCKS ARE DOWN THERE! ENERGON, TOO, BUT shush. TELL NOBODY THAT."
"Really?" Energon wasn't the easiest thing to come across, though the occasional vein was detected. Krenjot had the fortune of finding one that was fairly easily accessible and would provide plenty of fuel for her for the next dozen stellar cycles. After that, though, it might get interesting.
"Won't tell anyone."
Huh.
"Do you just- eat them?" Caution has completely fallen aside in favor of curiosity. Sierra doesn't think any of the Autobots physically swallow raw minerals - but then again, none of them exactly have quite this impressive a set of tusks and teeth...
"How else?" Krenjot dipped her helm down and grunted as she pried an intrusive rock out that was in her way. "Flint stays on my denta and frame absorbs the iron. Pretty simple."
"Kinda like how you humans eat food to get what you need."
There's an orange bot wandering around the area, looking around warily and muttering exasperated complaints. "Couldn't just take another nap in the engine room, nooo, 'Paw had to come find a natural setting to in snooze for a few hours..."
Well, this one stood out. Krenjot lowered her helm to shrink her overall profile and crept closer. Knowing her plating would suit her well, she kept to darker, shadowier, parts of the terrain and watched.
@subterran-seeker
"What's it like digging so much? I mostly know the stars, but what lie below islands."
"...uh. No? I just. Don't know what you're doing. Besides digging, I can see that-" A thought occurs, even as some back portion of her brain screeches to stop talking and just go. "Wait. Is there energon underneath here?"
"Energon? No, none here. Plenty of iron and flint, though." Krenjot turned so she could face the small human better and resumed digging. "Iron good for plates and flint helps with fire."
Starter Call!
Oookay then. Acknowledged and then promptly ignored - Sierra can work with that.
She stars to carefully inch her way around the big Cybertronian, focusing on being as quiet as possible to avoid attracting further attention. Very insistent you don't bother me, I won't bother you vibes going on.
At least until the big critter seems to find whatever it - she? - was sniffing around for, at which point Sierra's vague plan to slip away unnoticed gets derailed in favor of watching with confused fascination.
Tusks dug deep into the sun baked soil, her helm turning and pushed forward to till it over. Darker, moister, earth was churned to the surface before carefully pawed off to the side. The motion was repeated several times over, but at some point she stopped and turned her gaze back to the human pup.
"You waiting? Might be a bit." She chuffed. "Minerals are deep in the ground."
@duskfallxwyvern started following you
Sierra's really starting to think she must have some kind of sign hanging above her head, invisible to humans but emitting a signal that attracts the attention of any lone Cybertronian in the area - first Cliffjumper, and now a whole host of other odd outsiders.
...although this is the first one she's encountered with a distinctly draconian design.
There was a scent to follow. A deposit not of energon, but of another mineral... flint. The taste of flint was as much a treat as it was critical for her health and offensive capability. Krenjot didn't expect to run into a human pup during her search, though.
The Predacon was still as she stared down at the little one. This wasn't the first human she's encountered, and certainly won't be the last. "Pardon." Whatever interest she momentarily held quickly began to wane and her helm dipped down to scent at the ground. There was flint to be found.... here!
