Ah. So, he did hear right. After a moment to process, Cliff groans and scrubs a hand against his faceplates. "Greaaat. I knew the colors looked off when the spacebridge opened..."
Why'd this sort of thing always happen to him? And hardly any other member of Team Prime?? Ugh.
"Okay! Kid - unless you've already gotten a taste of multiverse nonsense, it's really going to be in your best interest to forget you ever saw me." If there's one thing Cliffjumper has figured out from his various multiversal misadventures, it's that one or two incidents might remain standalones, but once somebody gets regularly exposed to knowledge from other timelines? There's no going back.
Far too late for him at this point, but if possible, Cliff would like to gently steer someone else away from the same path of "I wish I didn't know that" and "how the heck am I going to get home" nightmares.
Blinking stupidly like a deer in headlights, confusion couldn't be anymore clearer on his face. He couldn't quite register what was being said. It's only until realization finally dawns on him that Hot Rod gasps with a resounding 'oooh'.
“Huh. That explains it. And here I was worried he took the Bee comparisons a little too personally.” That gets a relieved chuckle out of him before he places a comforting servo on Cliffjumper’s shoulder.
“Don’t worry Cliffy–I can call you Cliffy, right?–This is hardly my first rodeo, believe it or not! I mean, once we had Megatron from an alternate dimension come to try to take over Cybertron, and… uuh, you know what, it's a long story–but trust me when I say I’m relieved you're not another one of him.”
Yeah he's just going to stop yapping before he makes this anymore confusing.
“The name’s Hot Rod, by the way.”
