Star Ocean First Departure R character doodles Part 1

Played through the game for the first time a couple weeks ago and made these doodles based on the character portraits. I got into this series through Second Story R and I really want to play the others at some point too! That said I liked the game overall but i did find myself wanting and comparing it to Second Story R and I think I like that game more than I do this one. Again though I do like this game, I had fun, and I’m glad that I played it.

I am crawling out of my hole in the ground for the first time in months to bearing more Chrono Trigger doodles. I had a thought to draw the main characters as what they may have looked like when they were younger (except Robo, he’s built different and is perfect as is) and some other doodles to finish the little sketchbook I was doing these in, and now here we are.

I also kinda ran out of ideas to doodle for these guys and I started to go through some of my backlog of games I have stockpiled so I might post some doodles from other games in the near future. I’ll probably post more Chrono Trigger doodles too at some point, I just need a little break to gather more ideas and to recharge. I’m also also working on a bigger art thing for Chrono Trigger too, not sure how long it’ll take to get done but once it is I’ll be posting it here.

I come back bearing more Chrono Trigger doodles. Sorry it’s been a month, I got a new job and I’m just getting the groove of things and finding the time in the groove to do more doodles. Also I may or may not be working on some other things that I’ll post at some point.

Some drawing practice and experiments I had with some of the character’s hair, as well as a zeal shenanigan idea I had. Idk if I headcanon all of it yet or not, but I do think Dalton would be this arrogant, and I think Zeal could be insane and devout enough to Lavos to think like this. Hopefully someone gets a chuckle out of this. Also if anyone has an idea they want to see drawn out I should have an ask page if y’all wanna drop it in there.

Also trying to experiment with his hair a bit because I struggle with his widows peak but I think I just need to practice drawing it more. Hi, sorry for the very late reply. So I actually haven’t played cult of the lamb, the picture I made was for my brother as a birthday gift, but it looks like a fun game and I’ll have to try sometime. Hopefully after I get through my backlog of games I have but haven’t played yet.

As for aus, I don’t think I really have any? I’d say I probably have head cannons for some of the characters in chrono trigger based on how they act in game or from internet influence, but nothing really that big.

Happy Halloween everybody! I return once more with another pumpkin carving I didn’t think I’d have time to do. This time it’s the Frozen Flame from Chrono Cross.

Once again I’m gonna hope to post more often in the future. I’m actually trying to do some drawing practice stuff with poses/ideas I find on Pinterest and with characters from Chrono Trigger so I think I’ll get to posting those sometime soon and also hopefully on a consistent basis. I also hope to maybe take requests as well if there’s anything people want to see drawn out.
