Born and raised in New Haven, Dustin loved the small town life. Not the brightest guy around, he had dreams of going off to college somewhere exotic and exploring the world, but his grades and lack of money limited him. So he decided to take after his father as a carpenter. He likes to call himself the town handy-man, spending his days doing menial tasks like plumbing or fixing up houses for the residents when he isnt woodworking.

When he isn’t working, he can be seen at Knockout Gym spending the small amount of extra money that he has on his body, or at Lighthouse Beach hitting on the attractive sunbathers.

“You know you’re not wrong.” he chuckled. “You’ll have to try it out sometime. It’s a bit of a New Haven tradition.” he said, smiling at her laughter. “Girlfriend huh? And that is quite a zoo.” he laughed. “Well, since you’re new here, I’ll let you know that I’m kinda the local handy man around here so if your new place needs any fixing up, I’ll give ya’ll the newcomer discount.”

It wasn’t often that August had any real thought, unless she was with Venus of course, so anyone who knew her well would never expect much out of her. Not that she was entirely an idiot, but… she definitely wouldn’t describe herself as smart. “Do hamsters think?” She asked aloud, much to the person’s bad luck. “I mean… Freckle doesn’t do much, and he doesn’t come to me when I call his name, so…” @nhstarters​

Dustin licked his lips, thinking seriously for a moment. “I feel like hamsters just like...exist.” he explained. “I don’t know if they’re smart enough to think. I think they just like...eat sleep and poop.”

“I’m starting to think that it’s always a beautiful day here,” Nora admitted, returning the smile. “Got any plans? Seems like the day is too pretty to waste,” she added, tilting her head. 

“You’re pretty much right about that.” he agreed with Nora, still smiling. “I’m just seeing where the day takes me. I didn’t have any jobs planned today so I decided to do a ‘no thoughts head empty’ day. Although I guess thats not too different than how I usually am.” he joked.

venus  tilted  her  head  to  the  side  as  the  man  explained how  they  didn’t always  use  that  pier  as  their  party  location.  “  the  beach  sounds  safer  than  a  pier  ”  she  shook  her  head,  “  don’t  ask  me  why  i  think  that, i  just  know  ” she  chuckled. “  oh,  good  to  hear  i  guess  ”  venus  chuckled,  “  not  the  most  hygienic place  for  that  but  …  i’ve  heard  of  worse  place  ”  she  chuckled. “  i  would  be  scared  if  you  had  seen  me,  we  just  moved  here  a  couple of  days  ago  ”  she  confessed.  “  i’m  venus, nice  to  meet  you  ”

Dustin nodded his head. “We can get pretty creative.” he said. He chuckled at the girls remarks about hooking up under the pier. “It’s kinda romantic if you’re drunk enough. Listening to the waves and shit like that.” he shrugged with a grin. “Nice to meet you Venus. Who is the other part of we?” he asked her.

venus  was  walking  down  the  boardwalk, she  was  waiting for  the  time  to  pick  up  august, and  she  didn’t really  have  nothing better  to  do  than  wander aimesesly  around  town.  “  it  really  is  ”  she  nodded,  her  hand  moving to  cover  the  light  so  she  could  see  past  the  wooden floor.  “  this  a  really  peaceful  place,  at  least  now,  i’ve  heard  people  like  partying  here  ”  she  comented,  venus  was  new  in  town,  so  …  basically  all  the  things  she  knew  was  because  she  had  read  it  somewhere. “  the  thing  is  …  if  people like  this  place  for  parties  …  must  be  small  ones,  no  ?  like  is  the  boardwalk that  resistent  ?  ”

“Oh yeah, this is a good party place.” he agreed with a nod. “Well we don’t always party on this pier. Sometimes we hang out down next to the pier, on the beach. Hook ups usually happen under the pier.” he gave her a coy wink. “I don’t think I’ve seen you around before. I’m Dustin.”
