Typical Dutch motto!
Nowhere in the world cycle paths look as good as in #Holland!
Last week I went to Rome so I wasn't able to upload any cycle paths in Holland. What I did find on my holiday was an Italian cycle path. Although it wasn't as good as the one's we have in Holland, for one time I will upload this path from another country.
A cool bike box to precent them from getting stolen! Parking your bike was never this easy!
Watch out man!! A tram ahead. Luckily right light warn you for everything.
Yes! Also at night cycle paths and tunnels are lighted!
Cycling tunnels prevent cyclists from having to cross busy car streets.
Old cycle path with seperated lanes just outside the center of Utrecht. Really cool neighbourhood!
Great video about the cycle infrastructure of Houten. Ignore the terrible music in the beginning, later it will become much nicer!
Houten has a unique cycling infrastructure! Cars can only access a district through one entrance from the road around town (Rondweg) , while cyclist can go wherever they want by using the cycle path in the center. These are indicated by the red and yellow lines on the picture.
In Holland we even have speed bumps on cycle paths!
Sometimes, at a place where cycle paths cross each other, the Dutch make small roundabouts to prevent collisions! Isn't that cool?!
Just spotted the cycle tunnel I usually use when going for a ride around #Delft. Nice graffiti also!
In The Netherlands we use a number of preventive measures to make sure car drivers won't overlook cyclist. Here are four examples: a road sign, a speed bump, #sharksteeth and a different coloured path!
Facebook-like button to indicate that you want to cross a busy street. As long as the traffic light is red, the pole says you have to 'wacht' (Dutch for wait).
Follow up: A 360 degree view from the middle of the cycle intersection. Check out this link for an even better, more interactive view! http://pnr.ma/ctGaNg
A nice example of cycle path intersection. People from the right always have priority, unless you are driving on a priority lane.
