ERIC: we talked about having one of the cast members playing the part and having a pre-recorded track but i thought it would be cooler if it was played live
i’ve been putting this off for days so ig it’s time lmao
( theo james / cismale / he/him ) the paparazzi have spotted ERIC DUVAL, the TWENTY-NINE year old ACTOR/CREW MEMBER who’s currently working as REPERTORY CAST/HEAD WRITER on THAT’S SO RANDOM. the tabloids have called them AFFABLE and LIGHTHEARTED, but also FACETIOUS and RAMBUNCTIOUS. during their time in the spotlight, they’ve been dubbed the GOOFBALL.
so if you’ve read @skylcrisms‘s intro already then u know that skylar and eric here ( or as their fans know them: skyric ) are very very very happily married !!
but let’s start from the beginning, shall we?
eric was born and raised in los angeles, and it was clear from a young age that he was born to entertain
during his elementary school talent show he did a stand-up routine, and there was a casting director in the audience
long story short, eric found himself added to the cast of all that -- the kid’s version of snl basically
he was part of the cast from seasons 3-8 and quickly became a fan favorite
he grew from the adorable little nine year old to the cute fifteen year old, and he was hilarious to boot so he was basically the perfect guy in many preteen girls’ eyes
during his tenure on all that, he met skylar taggart while presenting an award at the kids’ choice awards, and the two quickly became close friends
after he left all that eric moved onto movies, a lot of comedies and coming-of-age films and a stint as the son of the main couple in an oscar-nominated film
he starred in an agent cody banks type film with skylar at one point, and it basically cemented their ‘skyric’ status
though they maintain that they were strictly platonic -- and they did for many many years before they both decided they wanted to be together, and the rest is history
eric had a very successful film career and at twenty-two he won a golden globe for best actor in a musical or comedy, and the oscar nomination followed ( though, as usual, the award ultimately went to the golden globe winner for drama )
he took a step back after that, decided to go back to his roots and audition for that’s so random!
he was part of the featured cast for two years before getting bumped up, and eventually took over the ‘weekend update’ type segment after the original anchor left
he joined the writing team during his fourth season and eventually got bumped up to head writer
he’s on his seventh season now and it’s the last year of his initial contract, so he’s debating whether or not he wants to stay or move on with his career
okay so that’s about it for backstory ????
he’s a big ole goofball as his label suggests
he loves his wife more than anything
he’s literally that meme of will smith showing off jada
if he’s on a talk show he will sing skylar’s praises the whole time if asked about her, and completely forget about the project he was supposed to be promoting lmao
very good at deadpan comedy, like gives aubrey plaza a run for her money good
is working on writing his own feature length screenplay, because it’s the next step he’d like to take with his career if he decides to leave tsr

We’re in a world where masculinity, especially with these big spectacle movies, is often pushed by rippling six packs and forcing an image down someone’s throat trying to prove masculinity. Whereas I think true masculinity comes from having a strong sense of self.
