I didn't understand why people were into muscle cars because they're cars that suck at doing everything. Outside of nostalgia, it's just easy to understand how to fix them. The things that can break have names of their own and not hose adjacent titles. Contemporary cars may be a little more fuel efficient but they're complicated and break in weird ways.

If I lived in a place that didn't get snow I'd drive a '70s land yacht or a '80s truck. For all the mechanical reasons, for all the aesthetic reasons, for all the comfort reasons, and also for the reason that there's no prick computer to narc me out for doing silly shit.
