The Plane of Pride's cast system is perhaps one of the most ruthless in all of Hell. Demons are expected to be fully loyal to Nikolas Lucifer and his lieutenants and acting against them in any perceivable way is met with harsh punishment. Many fallen nobles of Pride have had their minds and bodies stripped away, forced to remain in their draconic form for all eternity and acting as executioners. Lesser vassals are condemned for be burned to death, their execution in hell meaning that they will remain dead and never reform.

Novajard was one of the primordial gods who helped create the world, and he was one of the first Giant gods. His body was formed from ice so bone-chillingly cold and creepy that it was only kept in check by the fire that raged within him. Novajard was one of the primordials who joined Umbrae alongside his children during the War of the Immortals, and for much of it he and the Giants fought against the Rus Pantheon. Eventually he was killed by the Rus's leader Aedur, his body shattering as it fell, though this victory came at a terrible price. With Novajard's fire extinguished, the ice that formed his body spread throughout the North, rendering parts of it totally uninhabitable. Those areas not blighted by this primordial ice were rendered bitterly cold, even during the warmer parts of the year. Novajard's ice is incredibly resistant to heat, with only incredibly powerful fire magic being able to affect it. ~ A Brief History of the Gods, by Ruel the Wise
Inktober 2025: Day 18: Deal
Demons and Devils that broker Pacts tend to be among the most powerful denizens of Hell and the Underworld. One of the most prolific of these is Mephistopheles, a Arch-Devil who has brokered deals with some of the most powerful dark magic users in history. However, as Demons are not omnipresent, Mephistopheles cannot respond to each and every evil one that wants to make a pact. For less promising clients, he will often send his Barrister Imps in his stead to make a deal. While most Imps are weaker denizens of Hell, Barrister Imps are created from Lost Souls and other Demons that have crossed their creator and are now extensions of his will. Mephistopheles's Imps are particularly noted for having strong magical power of their own, independent from that granted to them by him.
