Starting a new blog

Ever feel like you need a fresh start? Even if it's just by making a new blog or profile? Well, that's what I'm doing. I seriously need a fresh start with some of my social media accounts. I have too many spam accounts following me, and some that I can't tell if they are spam or not. With my new account I'll be able to organize who I follow and who follows me. Which is something I sadly didn't do on this account and now I barely know who is who on here. I do apologize for this inconvenience. I'm slowly working on a layout for my new blog, so it looks very generic at the moment. I'm really hopeful for this new account and I want to start blogging some of my own fanedits for those who want to see and share them. I also want to start blogging reviews on shows, books, and movies. As well as some explanations (at least I hope they are decent explanations) for possible confusing stuff in movies, books, and shows. Things I like to blog and reblog: Star Wars, From Dusk Till Dawn, Smallville, Roswell, Bernie Sanders, Superman, Lois Lane, Game of Thrones, Heroes, Avengers, Buffy, The Flash (westallen) and much more. Brandon took a deep breath and entered the room, making sure to close the door behind him. Callie was sitting on her bed sans makeup with a sullen look on her face. As he stepped closer,she looked up and their eyes met, he could see the faded streaks of tears recently left behind. Suddenly he felt an ache deep within his chest where his now guarded heart beat. Just as Callie was about to dismiss Brandon, he spoke.“Callie! I’m sorry about what I said, I didn’t mean for it to come off like an insult. "You know in my eyes you are beautiful, and I’m proud of how you are going out into the world and letting others see your light.” She saw the sincerity in his eyes as she responded. “Brandon, I know you didn’t mean to hurt me and I’m sorry I blew up at you like that, I didn’t mean it.” She sighed deeply and continued.“You are right you know, that wasn’t me, not really. Im just trying so hard to project a confidence I have yet to find in myself."Brandon wanted nothing more than to pull her into his arms, but instead replied."Well you’re wrong too,I don’t see you as the poor foster girl who needs to be protected. You have come so far, and you are stronger then you think you are."A smile spread across her face as she heard these words. She wanted so badly to reach over and take his hand, the hands that she so easily intertwined her fingers with so many times before. She quickly reminded herself, that couldn’t happen."Callie! Brandon spoke, something I wont apologies for is seeing the person that others are missing out on. The girl who can make jeans and converse look like they belong on the front cover of a magazine, who prefers her chucks over high heels and most importantly the girl who projects her beauty on the inside, out."Brandon’s eyes never left hers as she let a single tear fall. They sat there in silence for a moment until Brandon rose from the bed, suddenly something hanging on the wall caught his eye. Neatly framed, incased in glass was a comic drawing of Callie depicted as a super hero. It stung to see this, and immediately Callie noticed the look of hurt on Brandon’s face. As he made his way to the door, She asked. "Before you go, can you hand me my antique copy of Romeo and Juliet, Jude wants to borrow it for his assignment.” “Oh yeah, where is it?” Brandon asked still wounded from what he just saw. Callie replied.“It’s on the bookshelf in the leather case that contains all of Shakespeare’s works.”“Ok! Brandon said, as he located the set and pulled out the volume that was the tale of two star-crossed lovers. The irony was not lost on him. As he slid the book out something fell from between the pages. He lean down to pick it up and was met with the familiar notes he knew all to well. His eyes surveyed the page were he once confessed his love through song. At the very top he could see the words, Callie’s Song: Outlaws and he was met once again with that familiar ache, but this time it was accompanied by relief. He quickly slid it between the pages of the next novel over, before turning back to face Callie. He didn’t know if she saw or not as he walked back over and handed her the book. Callie looked up with a coy smile as She said."I would much rather have that on display.” Brandon was taken back by her words and they were then drawn into a longing gaze that could never be appeased. Smiling one last time, he turned to leave, both their hearts beating faster than before. He closed the door and returned to reality where the only thing that remained of their love was lost between the pages of a tragic love story. Yet again, the irony was not lost on him.

There’s no doubt that Hillary is the candidate of Wall Street. Even more dangerous, though, is that she is the candidate of the military-industrial complex. The idea that she is bad on the corporate issues but good on national security has it wrong. Her so-called foreign policy “experience” has been to support every war demanded by the US deep security state run by the military and the CIA. Hillary and Bill Clinton’s close relations with Wall Street helped to stoke two financial bubbles (1999-2000 and 2005-8) and the Great Recession that followed Lehman’s collapse. In the 1990s they pushed financial deregulation for their campaign backers that in turn let loose the worst demons of financial manipulation, toxic assets, financial fraud, and eventually collapse. In the process they won elections and got mighty rich. Yet Hillary’s connections with the military-industrial complex are also alarming. It is often believed that the Republicans are the neocons and the Democrats act as restraints on the warmongering. This is not correct. Both parties are divided between neocon hawks and cautious realists who don’t want the US in unending war. Hillary is a staunch neocon whose record of favoring American war adventures explains much of our current security danger.

Shout out to all the 20-somethings who have been told that this decade is supposed to be the prime of their lives and are instead struggling really hard.

Some of us can’t get a job, even with a college degree.

Some of us couldn’t go to college or finish college because of all the shit we’re going through, and our opportunities have been limited by that.

Some of us have jobs and still can’t afford to live.

Some of us are too broke to go out and have fun.

Some of us are too broke to settle down.

Some of us are managing mental health problems.

Some of us have disabilities that make every day tougher to get through.

Some of us are dealing with loss, grief, and disappointment.

Some of us are just now figuring out who we are and are dealing with the repercussions of finally expressing that to others.

Some of us are learning that the society we live in is functioning in a way that puts us at a huge disadvantage.

And I want you to know that you don’t have to have all the answers or know what you’re doing with your life even though there’s so much pressure to do so.

We’re being told at this point to go to college, get a job, get a house, get married, and have kids.

Some of us don’t want or can’t do any of those things, and the expectations for when or if these things are supposed to happen can feel like a giant weight on your shoulders.

There’s no one-size fits all linear path for every person.

Just take everything one day at a time and do whatever you can to ensure your own happiness regardless of what others say you should be doing.

You matter even if others make you feel like you aren’t who they want you to be.

Your life matters even if others tell you that you aren’t living it how you should be.

These may not be the best years of your life, and you may have only known struggling for all of your previous years.

I think there comes a point when you have to fight back against what you’ve been told and tell yourself that who you are and how you’re managing your life is good enough for you.

Changing my URL

I’ve decided to edit my url on here. Nothing too drastic, but I’m changing it from dxiapetus to hcxiapetus. HC is a nickname of mine and Iapetus is still one of my favorite moons.

I decided to do this cause I want a small change and refresh my social media accounts. Since I was evicted from my home, had to go on a hiatus from the lack of internet and moving to a new state, I actually lost a good chunk of my followers. So I feel like a sort of fresh start would make me feel a little better.

This edit will occur this week.

UPDATE Or I might just add a new blog to this account and use that as my main.

There are times when I think i’m making too much of the connection between Kate and Richie; and then I watch the last episode of season 2 and remember that for Richie making a deal with the guy who enslaved your girlfriend for 1000 years is no problem, but making a deal with the guy who killed Kate is out of the question.
