Alabama Shakes release a space themed video for “Sound & Color”. When I initially saw it, I don’t know why I assumed the video would be happy? Maybe, because I love this song so much and it makes me happy. This video is actually the opposite. You get the lone pilots sadness, anguish, and despair rolled into one 3 minute video, as he realizes he’s been asleep for a very long time. Expectations aside, it’s a pretty pleasing music video.

Well that may be true, but there’s a Telecaster on the chair there, and it’s too good a picture not to post.

When it comes down to it a guitar’s a guitar and we wouldn’t be playing what we’re playing today without Sister Rosetta inventing Rock n Roll.

Chuck Berry? Little Richard? Totally important, but Sister Rosetta Tharpe was doing it before them, and being a huge influence on them both.

The last photo with the hot comb brings back memories. I hated getting my hair pressed. Though, I never got my ears burned during: I was too careful about my ears. Saw too many ugly burn scars on my friends to let that happen to me.

One of my friends put me on this UK singer. Her name is Moko and the song is entitled, "Your Love". I've probably played it at least 30 times since last night. And, she's vogueing in the video. 

I always wanted to learn how to Vogue.
