Sun and Moon with a reader that broke their arm and no one has signed their cast?
“Sun, please it’s not a big dea-”
“OH NO, NO, NO!! It’s a HUGE deal to me!! I gotta sign it right away!!”
“You don’t have t---okay..” You sighed, watching Sun skip away from you with a bemused smile. He stopped at a table of crayons, markers, and other drawing tools, sifting through the boxes. All while being careful not to messily throw everything around until he found the perfect marker:
In the blink of an eye he was back in front of you, bouncing on his heels. He then took your cast and looked for a good place to sign it, and then wondered what exactly he should draw.
In the end, he wrote his name in a swirly font with little suns, smiley faces, and clouds surrounding it. You smiled sweetly at what he left written, though you turned your arm a bit to see there was still some empty space.
“Can Moon sign mine next? Does he know?”
“Absolutely!! He would love to!!” Running away once more, he went to the lightswitch and flicked it off, shifting into Moon within seconds. You were surprised that he did that so willingly, but he probably wanted you to get as many signatures as possible.
“I didn’t think he’d agree to that..” Moon muttered to himself as he adjusted his night cap, making sure it was snug before returning to the table of markers. Although he took a bit longer than Sun to find one to use, eventually he pulled out a neon blue one. “Perfect.”
Then he crept his way back to you, gently holding the cast and signing his name, adding some stars, moons, and smiley faces. When he was done, he looked up at you. “It’s glow in the dark.”
“Oh is it?” To test it out, you brought out your flashlight to shine it on the drawings, seeing them disappear, then they reappeared as you flicked it off. “Cooooool.”
“I hope it’s to your liking.” He chuckled, falling silent as he quietly looked at your arm, and then back to you. “How did you break it, anyway?”
“Oh, don't worry. It's kinda embarrassing..."
"I..tripped over a wet floor bot that some idiot stationed around the corner.”
“What? Aren’t they built to stop people from falling?”
“Where was it? I will go kick it.”
