Oh, so it was Shinjuku station, I thought it looked familiar
The top poster look slike it could be from one of the new Sunrise projects. Probably Twilight Axis and not Thunderbolt.
Its been 3 years and im still not over the utter disappointment that was aldnoah zero
neither am I 🍺
Then make your own ending. That is what i am doing.
Finally I found Extra Episode 05’s scans! (Please check my masterpost)
In this novel there should be information about
- the First Earth-Mars War,
- Inaho and Yuki’s parents,
- Slaine’s parents,
- Asseylum and Lemrina’s father.
I wish somebody would translate this into english!! ♥
Can we get a chapter 5 that doesn’t require me giving personal data away?
will my day ever come?
prince slaine, by popular vote (shut up citrus, like only two damn people agreed with you)

Atsushi Saito’s C91 doujin, some scans from Mandarake.
Seeking video
There was a video that someone made comparing the intros for Iron Blooded Orphans and Aldnoah.Zero. However, I can’t find it. Does anyone have it?
Gifs
So I know that I promised some gifs a few posts back. But ti turns out that Tumblr limits gif size to 2MB. Which will simply not do for me..... I guess I’ll just post it on Imgur then. I’ll fix the ends of the gifs eventually.

This is done quite well. But please turn off the Interlacing feature in what ever program you are using.
Also, I am glad you are using a high quality audio file.
Aldnoah.Zero extra episode 5
Unfortunately it seems that no one is translating the Heaven’s Fall novel – the one that features Gilzeria, Ruelle (Lemrina’s mother), Inaho’s dad, and Slaine’s parents.
I did, however, find this, which looks to be a summary from the novel but it’s all in Japanese! If anyone can translate it, I’ll be forever grateful.
Here is a Korean Version. http://pastebin.com/raw/JNGVa7bu
Hey, guys. Do you remember episode 10? the one where they have to start Asseylum’s heart? Well I was watching it the other day and I realized that the Glock that Rayet uses has this weird bit where it will change model types. Here, look at this.
The trigger guard is not Symmetrical....
I find the change from a dual barreled gun slowly to a single barrel on a rail, to finally a super skinny “Glock” is super funny.
Here it is from the side.
I love the high level of detail on this one.
I basically go the feeling that they had 3 animators for this scene. And the guy who drew a lot of the side shoots thought they needed the long barrel Glock.
Also it is funny because they avoided the Glock as much as they could.
Have fun. This is just a fun post.
Why I Defend Asseylum Vers Allusia Pt. 4 (Final)
Part 1 | 2 | 3 | 4
Now let’s move on to the greatest misunderstanding of all. The finale. Here’s where it can get a little tricky, because the writing is so rushed. We don’t know exactly what is happening with the people of Vers other than the hints that Saazbaum and Harklight gave us regarding the lack of resources and class divisions. That was resolved with a dialogue from a news broadcast. To sum up: an Aldnoah generator has been built on Earth as a goodwill gesture from Vers. Aldnoah activation rights being used universally by ALL is also under research. This will help Earth’s reconstruction. This will also help Vers earn foreign capital from Earth and share resources. (So Asseylum is definitely taking care of “her people” too. Not just Earth.) Dr. Troyard’s theories were proven correct and that it was ironic that Slaine Troyard was the one who plotted Asseylum’s assassination and triggered the second interplanetary war. And that his death allowed a treaty to be made between Vers and Earth and that Asseylum is also trying to make peace with the remaining orbital knights still loyal to Slaine.
Yes, when I first saw this part, I was a little frustrated and overwhelmed. That was a lot of information thrown us. And then afterward, we find out that Slaine is in prison of all places! After a lot of thinking, this is what I think of this whole situation.
Keep in mind that this was a broadcast ON EARTH. NOT the Vers Empire. Of course they’re going to have bias against Slaine. Also, Slaine is considered a war criminal by both Earth and Vers. The handling of war criminals isn’t left up to just one person. So to say that Slaine’s fate is the sole result of Asseylum’s decisions is rather preposterous. The news broadcast also infers the existence of some kind of peace council, where it’s likely that both Earth officials and the Vers Royal family took part in. I can tell you right now that the most logical thing that could have happened is that Slaine probably would have been executed straight away. I can imagine Earth Officials demanding his death. So why wasn’t he executed? Asseylum definitely begged for his life and had to negotiate with them to reach a conclusion that BOTH PARTIES would be able to be satisfied with. Also, bear in mind that he is being held in prison ON EARTH. If Asseylum was the one to have put him in prison, like so many people claim, he would be being held in prison ON VERS or some kind of Versian facility. It’s simple logic. Speaking of Slaine being in prison and Asseylum begging for his life, that brings me to my final points.

Ah, yes. The good old, “She is the princess so she needs to end the war.”
My biggest complaint at what Asseylum does, is that she is too focused on compassion to realize that in the long run it is better to have the war conclude in an actual finish rather than having an armistice start at 11:11 November 11th and then write the treaty of VERSailles to end the second inter-planetary war.
By ending the War in the way that she did she showed her Naivete. She gave the only bargaining chip that Vers had in exchange for no land concessions on Earth, no long term help for Vers. And in exchange the Versians get to leave a whole bunch of equipment on Terran land AND give them AZ reactors to make it all “right”.
But don’t forget that even though Lemira pointed out to Asseylum that ‘seylum gives no regard for how much damage that she does when she saves a life rather than ending it.
TL;DR; Asseylum is a terrible diplomat and let’s her emotion and ideology get in the way.
Okay, let’s say that the war continued on from the point where she intervened. At that point, Slaine had ironically fallen into the vicious cycle that Saazbaum was supposedly trying to end. It was nearly a direct correlation to what happened in episode one with the beginning of the Earthfall Operation. Knowing that, what probably would have followed was another massive devastation for Earth, bringing everything back to square one. Some kind of treaty and negotiation procedure had to be taken or else, as far as we know, this would have gone in circles. Someone had to step forward, because at the time, no one was. As for the VERSaille thing, Vers itself isn’t solely taking responsibility for causing all the loss and damage. Yes, they’re providing an Aldnoah reactor, but in return they are gaining capital from Earth. It’s not a one-way thing where they pay for everything. They’re in a more salvageable situation than Germany was at the end of World War I. In addition, research regarding universal Aldnoah activation rights for all is being pursued. This will impact the feudal system that Vers has been victim to since Aldnoah activation rights was one of the main reason for it in the first place. She’s thinking about humanity as a whole. Though it is unfortunate that we don’t get to see first-hand what the Versians were like throughout the entire series. The focus had mainly been about Earth since that was the direction the writers wanted to take.
And yes, I’m perfectly aware of what Lemrina says to Asseylum when she’s saved from gunfire. I absolutely disagree with that philosophy. Letting yourself or another die does not end that suffering. It ends the possibility of progressing and getting better.
Hmm, I see a fundamental difference in our approaches to a situation like this. I prefer things to be tied up. I.E. to let Vers crush the Terrans and take over, which they were about a year away from doing. They had already taken large swathes of land for themselves.
The only places that had any resistance was Russia, the middle east and the Far East. To put that in perspective they have little to no natural rubber supplies and outside of the oil fields (which are in this image under attack). They would simply have a severe limitation in Space combat as soon as those areas fell. So victory would have happened for Vers, it is simply a matter of time. Not to mention the Industry and resources in the Americas.
As to Slaine, he had interest in making the Feudal system in Vers come down, he told Harklight that he wanted to get rid of that system. IMO that would have destabilized Vers and lead to the deaths of millions, but that is just speculation.
The main reason I champion the continuation of the war is due to the simple fact that the treaty solved none of the causes for the war. The Orbital Knights are still left up the creek with no paddle, and if the Royal family starts trying to shut the A.Z reactors down the Clans would just rebel.
The hatred of Vers for earth is going to boil up, there is no way that the Propaganda of Vers has will simply be able to pull off a “We are pulling back and giving the whole Earth back to our new buddies”. The populous would have heard stories, seen picture of the conquest and the eventual “Victory” in the sight. And to simply pull back risks major civil unrest in a world taught that the only way to get wealth is to take from the earth.
Earth is still devastated from the first war and after 2 years of conflict in the second war the loss to infrastructure would be easy enough to ignore as just another few billion in “Monies”.
Vers has gotten promises of Capital in the past, but to quote a proverb “You cannot eat gold”. Vers is starving for raw resources, not foreign investment. And without asteroid harvesting or resources from Earth the society of Vers will collapse. See episode 10 marker ~11:20 as to a clear explanation of the situation.
And as to saving a person, sometimes living is a greater burden and hell, than just living. https://youtu.be/3mH2XdUs6xQ?t=1m38s Just follow the lyrics and look up the story. Terrible story and I pity the man.
But like I said, we suffer from the situation where we take two different approaches to the same problem.
