Here’s to You
J and E. In a short story.
We met in August 2014, in a yoga class we both took at school. He came from three hours away, and we didn’t think we could make it all work out. School started coming to a close and he was headed back home to the Cape. Which got even worse because of his job, J is a fisher. He goes down to Ocean City, Maryland for 3 weeks at a time to get scallops. He is gone from midnight to six at night four times a week, meaning days were I sometimes can't talk to him. But we make it work, knowing we will see each other soon enough. So if you think you’re in a rut and you're relationship isn't working because you haven't seen someone in a week, remember that if they're worth it, time is irrelevant and you will see your loved one soon enough. Don't give up.
