           EVENTGOOD MORNING!
She doesn’t expect the day to be any different. The air smells the same, the sky looks the same, even the dirt on the low ceiling of her little room is exactly where it was yesterday.
But a glance to the numbers on her screen makes her jump.Â
Jisoo might not have ever received a top-tier education, but she knows enough Math to be sure that 2.2 plus 0 can never equal 4.5–yet there it is.Â
Four-point-five written in the red of their numbers right beside her name where the numbers have always been.
She blinks and blinks and blinks, but no matter how many times she blinks, the numbers just won’t change. Teeth to her lip and cautious steps, she makes her way out of the door and through the town.
She’s late for her shift at the factory, but there are enough eyes on her not to notice. They stare, they murmur, they whisper. A cab comes instantly at her call and she drives to the airport where she has never been.
She can’t be sure what she’s really doing, but Jisoo lets her feet carry her to the counter where a nice lady in a pretty blue uniform asks her to look into the camera.
“It says here you don’t have a flight booked?”
“Oh… yes…”
“Well… Where are you headed?”
“… … … Fern?”
A pause, a few buttons, a smile.
“Ah–we have just one more seat left in first class for the next flight to Fern. It’s in an hour. Would you like to avail?”
A pause, a smile, a breath.
“Y-yes.”
“There you go. Thank you for flying with us. Next, please!”
A glitch in the system has caused ratings to change. 2′s have become 4′s, 3′s have become 1′s, 4′s have become 3′s. Where will this malfunction find you?
