For some reason I find it so bizarre that I managed to grow up with an educational show about animals that ACTUALLY teaches its young audience actual scientific facts. The Wild Kratts have really earned my respect over the years. So many things for kids get glamorized because they don’t want to come off as “disturbing” or something. Or they just want to make a quick buck in the animation department by making a show about a subject they don’t actually research (looking at you Horse Land)

But they treated even the grossest parts of animal nature with respect and fascination. They did a good job of explaining to kids: “they’re not bad, is just their nature”. And I actually remember a lot of the things they taught. Those brothers really went “hey we’re biologists… we should make a cartoon about that”

I also really liked it because, even as a kid I, to some extent, could tell when I was being lied to. I appreciated cartoons that got dark or straightforward because I could tell they weren’t lying to me about how the world really is. I want more shows like that for the current generation

Hey i am so sorry but as I have mentioned I have been not working since june 27 since i work at a school and for hourly staff is the first payday is not until august 15 and uh I hate to ask but as it stands despite me literally still starving myself to save money i still don’t have enough to get me through till then without going severely negative (for context i only have one debit card and I don’t drive meaning I pay for the bus +ride share) if you can afford it; if anyone of you would be willing to loan anywhere between $150-$200 which ik is a big ask but that is the reality i fear. id seriously owe you and i can send u more proof and screenshots too i just dont know what else to do bc i do not get paid till aug 15 and that is also only for 3 days and my last paycheck was june like I said and i filed for unemployment and didn’t get it and jobs wouldn’t take me though I am still applying for extra and I have little to no family support system that can help and i understand if you say no you have every right but idk what else to do so im at wits end here and it would srsly mean the world to me ❤️i am so grateful to all the help I have received and endlessly sorry its running low despite me using it for nothing but my bills getting to and from work and groceries- aka basic needs 😭.
