I needed an easy project before I start on a very intimidating one, so I'm making a baby gift. This fabric stretches differently along the warp and weft so after it's washed it has a waffle effect. Piano wire, florists wire, pliers, nippers, and really achy hands are what it takes to make the frame for Tinkerbell's wings. They're going to look so good, though! Tinkerbell's gown skirt is played to the bodice, and the lining has been hand sewn down. The only think left for this Robe a la l'Anglaise is the closures on the front of the bodice.
