This is a present I drew for @explodingpringlescans for Christmas and I actually meant to upload it much earlier, but oh well... Here it is, finally!
The inspiration was a real volleyball match I watched a couple of months ago and all the weird stuff I saw in just one hour. I live tweeted it, in fact, so those who follow me on Twitter know what I’m talking about lmao
There was a player who suddenly bit the net for no reason... like Kageyama here. During a time out, another player took off his shoe, again for no reason. Totally something that Hinata would do, right? And then another player fell over the boards trying to save the ball.
I’m surprised Furudate doesn’t take all this stuff for Haikyuu because real life volleyball is legit weirder than its manga counterpart sometimes. But of course, Ukai is super proud of his team! (As it should be.)
