some common varieties of tea dragon!
The Tea Challenge, Day 15: Jasmine Dragon Pearls Green Tea
Tea: Jasmine Dragon Pearls Green Tea
Type: Green
From: Teavivre
Ingredients: Pure tea buds and new leaves, Jasmine flavour
Caffeine: caffeinated | decaffeinated
Amount: 1 tbsp
Water temp: 80°C
Brew time: 1-2 min
Effects: calming | de-stressing | energizing | alert/clear-thinking | sleepy
Smell (leaves before brewing): terrible | bad | okay | good | very good | fantastic
Verdict: terrible | bad | okay | good | very good | fantastic
Comments: This tea is definitely one of my absolute favourites. I adore the Jasmine and floral flavours, which are very present without being overpowering, and the flavour is just as exquisite even on the third steep, albeit losing a hint of sweetness.
Tea Challenge, Day 14: Organic Dragon Well Long Jing Green Tea
A long overdue continuation of my tea challenge series! Terribly sorry about the incredibly long and unnecessary hiatus, but we are back with more teas, which means more reviews to come!
Tea: Organic Dragon Well Long Jing Green Tea
Type: Green
From: Teavivre
Ingredients: organic pure tea buds and new leaves
Caffeine: caffeinated | decaffeinated
Amount: ~3 tsp
Water temp: 80°C
Brew time: 1-2 mins
Effects: calming | de-stressing | energizing | alert/clear-thinking | sleepy
Smell (leaves before brewing): terrible | bad | okay | good | very good | fantastic
Verdict: terrible | bad | okay | good | very good | fantastic
Comments: I love this tea! It has a subtle but present flavour, without any bitterness. It is light and palate-cleansing, but if you want a stronger flavour just let it brew for a couple minutes longer and the flavour really comes to life, still without being overpowering. This tea is perfect for casual every-day tea time.

In today’s edition of ‘Unnecessarily Gendered Items’
the only tea u should drink is
I was actually curious about this and so looked up the ingredients of each tea to see if there was an actual reason as to why they would be gendered.
Men’s tea: ginger, cardamom, liquorice, carob, cinnamon, barley malt, roasted chicory, peppermint, fenugreek, fennel, mace, anise, ginseng flowers, astragalus, turmeric root, chili pepper, cinnamon extract (natural flavour), black pepper.
Women’s tea: ginger, cinnamon, orange peel, fennel, chamomile, barley malt, dandelion, black pepper, orange extract (natural flavour), juniper berries, liquorice, cardamom, cloves, angelica root extract (natural flavour).
I know from previous research that angelica root is used in some herbal remedies for menstruation, and we know chamomile has been used for soothing nerves. The male tea has has more hot spices (which increases blood flow) and fenugreek (which apparently increases libido).
This translates to: Period Tea, and Boner Tea.
Thanks, Yogi.

You may think that British stereotypes are incorrect, but in the back of our science GCSE revision guides, there’s a guide to making the perfect cup of tea.
Dear everyone else in Britain: When was this. Is this still around? Because if so I’m never going to be able to take a conversation about the education system seriously ever again.
I tried to make my tea look all artsy and whatnot but just drawing in the frothed milk didn't do anything so I dipped the toothpick in food colouring except then it fell in and now we have a toothpick in the food colouring oops
