Final batch of V2 Belters complete and ready for finishing. Tom now has a 2 week break from building before the next delivery of components mid July. A good clean and tidy and the acres of clear workshop space should probably be put to good use with a party. It makes an ace dance floor.

Early Rider launches Aluminium Balance Bike

Press Realease: Early Rider Launches first Aluminium Balance Bike

21st January 2013, Early Rider Mill, Henley on Thames.

Early Rider Ltd, the British childrens bike manufacturer, has announced the launch of it's latest bike - the Alley Runner 12" - from it's Henley on Thames workshop. The bike is the second in its Aluminium Series and incorporates aluminium bespoke parts and carbon components.

Designed for children from age 2 years + the Alley Runner is the first aluminium balance bike produced by Early Rider. At just over 3kg it is their lightest bike yet, using custom designed and manufactured aluminium parts, carbon seatpost and handlebar, fully integrated headset, forged drop outs and finished with a brushed and laquered coating. Andy Loveland, Early Rider founder and designer, said "The Alley Runner is a little gem of a bike. We've used the best components often only seen on adult bikes and the result is fantastic - a lightweight, smooth running, beautiful bike that will see a child through from 2years until they are ready to get pedals."

With the option of adding 14" wheels as the child grows, the lifespan of the bike is extended giving greater value for money. 2013 optional extras will also include drop bars and a carbon fork.
