Can we go into depth on this one singular panel and Bernard's parents thank you
Like not to over analyse stuff but like...
The fact that his mother says she's leaving her husband (implied that she wants to leave) but his father brings up how everything belongs to him (implied that she's financially dependent on him, making it hard for her to up and leave)
This brings up quite a few questions mostly about his parents but also about TimBern's relationship itself.
1) What's his parents'relationship like at home? Probably strained but I wonder if she has tried to leave before but realised she can't because she's financially dependent on her husband.
2) Perhaps a bit far fetched but I wonder if this in any way reflects on Bern and how he views his relationship with Tim. In a sense of it's clear that Tim probably has better finance (is richer?) than Bern (his apartment is bare with barely any furniture, he either has a minimum wage part time job whilst double majoring or he's using some saved up money / fund). So like I wonder if he's insistent on not being dependent on Tim etc... perhaps refuses things because he doesn't want to end up like his mother (the fear of being too dependent to the point of being trapped).
