Anna: set her phone to the side, where it was obvious she was scrolling through Asher's pictures on facebook when asked what she was talking about. "I talked to my birth mom today for the first time ever. She's in jail, which I learned when I found out about her a couple weeks ago. Sorry I didn't tell you, I didn't tell anyone. Anyways, she told me I have two siblings named Asher and Adalyne. I'm putting two and two together and Asher is adopted and has a sister named Adalyne. What if they're my siblings? I just can't tell if we actually look anything alike or if I am just kinda hoping because that would mean that I know my brother pretty well. What do you think?" She asked as she held up her phone that had a picture of Asher next to her face to let her girlfriend be the judge.
Grace: The mention of her birth mother cleared up the cloud of confusion surrounding the abrupt questions she had brought it, rather looking at her in lament now as she talked about what her biological mother had revealed to her. "It's okay," she muttered softly as Anna apologized before she continued on in telling her. When she brought up Asher and Adalyne, a small chill ran down her spine, but she tried to ignore it as she leaned forward to take her hand in hers. She looked at the photo of Asher she had pulled up, then looked back to Anna, before looking right at the photo once more. "Smile," she said, her finger at the bottom of her girlfriend's chin as she tilted it up to compared the both of their smiles. The jawline was unmistakable, as was the similar way they both smiled. "I mean," she didn't know what to say, dropping her hands onto the bed as she tried to gather her wits about her. "I guess I can see some sort of resemblance," she didn't want to build her hopes up, not while Asher wasn't around to give her the confirmation she needed. What if it turned out that it just so happened to be a coincidence that Anna also had siblings that were named Asher and Adalyne? Then it'd crush the hopes she could obviously see bubbling within her girlfriend to piece together the case that had long been unanswered. "Why the sudden interest in your biological family?" she thought aloud, raising a brow as she leaned back against the headboard of her bed.
