some vitality vampire lore🦇༉‧₊˚
Vitality vampires feed on the life essence of living creatures rather than blood.
They are the result of a creature dying before its vampiric transformation has been completed. They are only created, never born.
Key Features: entirely white eyes, blackened hands, greyish skin, and hair that has lost all of its color, leaving it either black, white, or a shade of grey.
A vitality vampire's bite can, in gentler cases, leave a creature fatigued, suppress their immune system, making them prone to sickness, or place them in a deep sleep that can be dangerous if they do not wake to eat and drink. In more extreme cases, it can shorten a creature's lifespan or drain them of their life entirely.
During a creature's transition into its vampire form, a deep connection is formed with the life (flora and fauna) in the region where they were initially killed. This can present itself as a preference for life essence in that particular area or a want to preserve it, forming an aversion to it.
Vitality vampires can enjoy food, spices, and flavors without them making them ill.
Typically, they live in small communes or cohabitate in rural secluded areas.
Their diet revitalizes them in a way that makes them quite jovial and lackadaisical.
They can drink blood, although it doesn't satiate their hunger. To them, it tastes like it does for humans, very metallic.
