Oh, another one on the list of âYou broke my playground, now you must payâ. How original. At least this one was nice to look at. Arr narrow his eyes when she mentioned a partner, he didnât recall messing with people. He killed a couple sure, well, maybe a couple dozens if he was to be more precise. But she didnât look destroyed by the lost of someone like he had been, so he wondered how he had messed with her partner.Â
When she moved closer to him and her hand turned to fire, the old one wanted to laugh. Fire was his life, the creature had been burned far more times that the little one had in days on her life, and now she was going to burn him like it was a terrible thing. How childish and predictable on her part. Arr should probably look scared at the sight of her fire, it was the kind thing to do, but he couldnât even muster the strength to do so. But to be fair, he didnât laugh as well, so he figured he would save her, and himself, the embarrassment.
âI do Miss, very much soâ he confirmed her âAnd Iâm getting cold since you so kindly ask them to undress me.â He leaned in, closer to her hand like he was looking for her to touch his cheek with it. The fire burned, and it hurt more than he was expecting, it must be the damn brand that numbed some of his resistance to fire. But it wasnât too bad, some beatings had been worst.Â
He could feel the redness on his burn skin and the ghost of the warmth it had left behind. This was going to hurt, he was sure, but he wasnât afraid of such little witch. âBut before you do your little party trick, can you just tell me one thing?â he was actually curios to know her view on the subject, since she clearly was out for Revenge and Pay back as she so sweetly had put it.Â
âWhy is your revenge justified, and mine wasnât?â
Eliza didnât often single out slaves like this, nor did she find herself holding grudges against others a lot. Unless they really messed with someone she loved. It really was such a bad move on their part. One that set blaze to flames the witch usually kept well under control. He did seemed to take it all in stride, and she was sure he would hold out for a good while. But in the end, pain was pain. If you applied enough of it for a certain amount of time, anyone would break eventually. And unlucky for him, she had all day. Heck, she had all week if she felt like it.Â
âThen lets warm you up. And then I might decide to cool you right down. Unless you feel like throwing in an apology and I will consider going easy on you.â She couldnât help but speak with a certain level of sarcasm. It was not as if he would apologize. More importantly, he couldnât take back the damage heâd made, nor she suspected, was he feeling any remorse for it. And she wasnât really here to make him be sorry. If anything she was purely here to make him feel like shit so she could feel better.Â
Her eyes watched curiously as he leaned into her fireball, slowly moving it closer to his cheek to see if he would stand his ground or pull back. If he thought his dragon powers would protect him, he was going to be sorely mistaken. The brand reduced him to a human state. Much much weaker than he had once been. âMaking requests already are we? You really are a ballsy one.â she said, making a small tsk-ing sound, yet not cutting him off either. He could say his piece. Chances were it would only fuel her fury.Â
âBecause for revenge to be justified, there has to be rhyme, reason and cause behind it. Which your mindless attacks did not have. As far as I know you little lizard, your cause was only to destroy. Not conquer, not reclaim. Which isnât reason enough! Your selfish ass hurt a lot of innocents and put stress and pressure on a lot of people who were trying to do good. Iâm not here because I care about your pathetic opinions. Nor do I expect you to be sorry.â Her hand dove in further with the flame, which slowly engulfed her entire hand as she gripped his chin, forcing him to look at her. âThis isnât about what you need, its about what I need. The sight of you burning and screaming in pain might suffice. Weâll see.âÂ
