Rewatching the Twilight saga for the first time in “a thousand years” in honour of its tenth birthday being today. I feel like there’s rarity in being both a HP fan and a Twilight fan, but this is still one of the stand out series of my teenhood and the books still take pride of place on my shelf. This YouTube original by Mika Watkins with the acting talents of HP alumni Tom Felton and Natalia Tena is out today and, after attending the premiere and Q&A last week, a YouTube premium subscription is a thing that’s gonna have to happen in my life. Even if its sole purpose will be to see @origin_series in its entirety. I never thought I could become so invested in a sci-fi story, two episodes in, but it happened. Gripping, thought provoking and dark.. I finally witnessed this masterpiece yesterday and I don’t think I’ll ever find the right words to give it justice but- My anticipation for this film near tortured me for an entire month after it came out and to say I was an emotional mess after I watched it is an understatement. Goosebumps as soon as @ladygaga came on screen (seeing her on that big screen was a real surreal moment) and tears from her first song. I swear I could feel every heartbreak she and Bradley Cooper portrayed and I have never had to sit and cry through credits like that because I was so stunned by an ending. You may have noticed I’m not all there myself.” This day in 1951, the Disney classic version of Alice in Wonderland hit UK cinemas and although I wouldn’t see it until almost fifty years later, Wonderland instantly became one of my forever homes. Looking through pics and thinking of how much I want to go back to one of my happier places, but living for : this reminder that I get to see another Disney adaptation by my director god, Tim Burton, next year. I have long since lost and mourned my original childhood copy (pre-teen Tanya wasn’t nearly as much of a hoarder), adopting a copy that I’m sure had it’s own love born from it.. but this still represents the way I fell into the start of a series that has had an immeasurable place in my heart since I was just old enough to read it. Happy publishing anniversary to a book that changed my world and who’s words continue to have an impact on me today. J.K Rowling herself has said “No story lives unless someone wants to listen. The stories we love best do live in us forever. So, whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.” Thank you, Wizarding World, for always being another home to me and thank you @gemlullaby for bringing back a part of it on your journey back there. 🦅 I’ll treasure my imaginary portkey to somewhere I can only dream of physically going and keep wishing for the ability to apparate.

I feel like visiting Peter Pan is obligatory when in Kensington Gardens. I haven’t quite committed to memory where he is, even after all these visits, but always seem to stumble across him. This time, like many times, in search of the birds that could be from Neverland themselves. The boy somehow radiates magic even more with sunbeams dancing around him. (at Kensington Gardens)
