Is Ear Vitamins back? The mystery continues. Here's a jam I'm into. I really like this album image. Thanks @Beej for posting Big Data.

What is going on? New posts? I thought we were done with this... Well, I was digging through my Spotify list of songs to post, and I decided I still have more to give to the world. So I'll start with this.
I heard this on a crappy Spotify playlist last week and have probably listened 20 times since. I think my interest in it is entirely attributable to the Ratatat style guitar in it at a time in my life when there is a drought of new Ratatat music. Apologies for the embedded Spotify link.
Ran into this band on the new Red Hot compilation album which I have given another listen and it’s not a total waste. My first experience with it was pretty unremarkable though. The Revival Hour has DM Stith as the singer. I really liked his album Heavy Ghost, but it’s not everyone’s kind of thing. His weirdness is the right kind for me but probably not for most. This song on the other hand I really enjoy and think there’s a lot other people might like. I love the instrumentation and just the general sound. Sort of like that soundcloud band Kyle posted recently I love hitting play and hearing sounds that are new. I can’t really categorize all the strings I’m hearing in here. Maybe it’s too heavily manipulated to tell or maybe my ears just aren’t well-nourished enough.
You can tell the main guy behind this band used to be in Nine Inch Nails. I like this groove.
Wow guys I'm sorry for being so late. I've had Alt J and this guy on my Spotify for the last few weeks and had trouble selecting the right song. That and NPR's First Listen has been failing me really hard. Okay so here's what I know about Nathaniel Rateliff. He was on NPR a couple weekend ago in some feature about Denver musicians. He opened for Mumford & Sons. His sound reminds me a lot of Glen Hansard. I hope you like it.
More Cosmo Sheldrake. You'll take it and you'll like it.
This song is free from the band's site. Love when bands do that. Don't even have to sign up for email.
This is one of my favorite new finds, love the sound. Based on the picture it looks like he does it all himself. He only has one other song on spotify. (link fixed thanks to Lucas)
This Ta-ku guy has some great remixes.
Finally posting some of the songs I've been finding through spotify. Mostly through CLN radio.
I've listened to this album three or four times and only now after looking at the titles did I realize it was a "heavy" album. I would never have guessed this track was called Lucifer. It's a fun album in my opinion, but then again, I never listen to words. Streamable on NPR at least for a little while longer. http://www.npr.org/2014/09/14/347375935/first-listen-sondre-lerche-please?autoplay=true
Stumbled across this recently and enjoyed it. It's Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin fame having what seems to be a late renaissance.
Sin Fang is from Iceland, like many of my favorite bands. This song is from 2011, and their latest album was in 2012. I found them through Spotify's "since you listened to 'Antlers' you might like 'Sin Fang'" feature, which is usually quite spotty. And I've got several more songs in the pipe so don't give up on me yet!
The school year is back and (hopefully) so am I. I really haven't heard much new that I've liked, so that and getting busy led to an extended hiatus from posting.
I went to see Typhoon on Saturday and really wanted to post a song they played that I hadn't heard, but it looks like there are only videos online of it being performed. I recommend you check it out here. I hope they end up recording the Reed Road.
As for the Cold War Kids, this song isn't my favorite, but I'm excited to hear new music from them.
Heard this guy being interviewed on 88.1 cause he was at Hop Scotch in Raleigh. He holed himself up in a house with a grand piano for a month to write this album. I'm always a sucker for the old but new sound that this track captures. It makes me a pretty big music blog poser that I've never been to Hop Scotch except when listening from the office in downtown. FYI Ben you posted a song by "Dent May and his Magnificent Ukulele" a while back.
Gonna break the silence with a new track from TV on the Radio from their upcoming album Seeds. Back to work. We'll have some better Ear Vitamins after Ed and I are done with the design of our next game but for now we're not doing a lot of listening to new music at the office.
