anyways i’ve been thinking about easthies potential backstory a lot, and i have two main theories for what i believe could have happened to him to make him so crazy about the pact and so terrified of forbidden magic

easthies is a victim of forbidden magic in some manner, and to me this manifests as a some form of spell being drawn on his body somewhere. it’s likely the spell itself has been burnt off to prevent its effects, but the scarring is very much still there, and is a big part of the reason easthies covers himself up so much

easthies for some reason or other ends up using forbidden magic in the hopes of saving someone close to him, and this backfires spectacularly, the incident scars him so badly that he joins the knights as a form of atonement for his actions and vows to never let anyone else make the same mistakes he did

either way, i trust whatever his backstory is, its gonna be something absolutely crazy… i know that shirahama has something diabolical planned

I really hope that we could get a deep dive into the knight of moralis, we only know so little about them— all we know is that they’re extremely strict and stuff, in the chapter where Galga got exposed to the forbidden magic, the knights erased his memory with no hesitations ; just like any others, this showed that they’re really compliant to the said rules and the rules apply to everyone, even children (yes when they tried to erase coco’s memory).

I like to think that the birds, the one in the 80 something chapter (i forgot the name ok) symbolizes the reality of being a knight of moralis, the birds itself is black and white, showing how monotone and rigid the knights are, to be honest it’s more like how they’re forced to obey the rules that are made, the birds also has like a circle like stripes, i take this as a symbol of how they’re trapped in a circle of rules that have been made, a barrier around them and the world, a bird can fly but that doesn’t mean that the bird is “free” in this case a knight can do whatever they like but is still trapped inside the established rules (subconsciously), i like to think that this gave them the illusion of having control but in reality they’re the one bing controled by the rules, this blurred the concept of moral to them, thinking what they did is right because it follows the rules when actually it isn’t, one more thing about the bird is that they are all the same— same colors, same patterns, and when it applies to the knights, same mindset. I like to think that the rules are drilled into those knights minds and with the people around them also being drilled the same rules, they will all accept and thinks that those rules as the norms, as the truth, even though it may be not.

Not saying that the knight of moralis is bad or anything, it just amazed me how they all seems like to think and act alike, even though yes, they all have different personalities, their view on the magic system is almost the same, that’s why luluci’s doubt in the (not so) latest chapter could be a good opening to the knight of moralis’ backstory. So yeah the knight of moralis is just some brainwashed and strict dudes and it’s super cool.
