I think what's missed about The Chained Titans is that Marinette DOESN'T want to be chosen. From the very beginning we know she doesn't like being a hero, and when Nino suggested her she was baffled. She craved with the compliments and also because she was going to help her friend. Not because she really wanted to be a Miraculer.

And I think that's the main reason why her transformation animation hasn't changed compared to the others. Everyone, EVERYONE got a glow up, even Adrien during Heartfixer when he was seeing Marinette being akumatized.

But she hasn't.

It's like she is stuck and has not embraced her role as a hero, as part of herself, and more of a duty and escapism thing.

That was also part of the plot of A Fairy Good Night, her thinking that Max was going to be overwhelmed for being called that much, when no, he was more than ok. SHE was projecting.

If she is only Ladybug is mostly because Chat is there, and she was having fun being Renardette because it was just a game with Adrien. She was the one who hesitated to help civilians until Adrien went "we have to do this".

She needs to find the motivation to be a hero, not just for the rest, not just for Adrien, but for herself. Because the more the episodes pass it feels that she is looking for an excuse to throw in the towel
