Greetings,  It has not been a very productive start to the year.  My youngets seemed to be clinging harder then ever.  BUT for the last two nights in a row he has slept inhis own bed all night!  So with any luck I’ll be able to get back to doing a little more of what I love.  Creating lovely handmade dolls.

Emiko loves rainy days and collecting dolls.  She is a 13inch waldorf style doll made from lovely natural materials.  Her skin is 100% cotton interlock.  Her body is stuffed with wool and her face is needle felted wool.  Features are hand embroidered.  Her cheeks and lips are stained with a bees wax blush.  Her long soft hair is made from hand wefted alpaca locks and can be gently styled and brushd with a boor bristle brush.   Emiko comes with two outfits one is a traditional yukata with furisode sleeves made from a Japanese cotton.  The outfit is completed by a fuchsia obi which fastens with velcro for easy play.  She also has white cotton tights, a cotton t-shirt with a cloud applique and a funky skirt with an elastic waist band and contrasting ruffle.  She has wool felt slippers and a lace knit scarf in a very pretty zen yarn garden wool color stamped lips.  The pattern for the scarf is from winterludes but I have to admit that I made a few mistakes so that forced me to adjust the pattern so it might not be too recognizable. Emiko travels with her two Kokeshi dolls.
