His fellow band members have said in the past that he has tried to diet multiple times, but always rebounded. This time he hopes to make it by taking a break...

Super easy college-leftovers revival!

Ingredients:

Celery-2 stalks

Corn-0.5 cup

Cooked rice-1 cup

Soy sauce-no more than 2 tbsp

Salt and pepper to taste

Fried rice is always a good use of that leftover rice from yesterday that's gotten hard and dried in the fridge. I used the frozen sweet corn from Trader Joe's but any corn will work--frozen or canned.

How to:

I put the celery in the skillet first because I don't like raw celery, and I wanted to cook it thoroughly before I put in the corn and rice. Med-Hi heat! :D

After it was soft enough to my liking, I put in the corn and let that defrost/cook. Salt and pepper here.

Throw in the rice, and then the soy sauce.

Stir it around until it smells and tastes delicious and you're done!

Most of my meals in college have been fried rice =_= it's too easy to throw vegetables and stir them around. Haha!

Starbucks Coffee, Duddell Street, Hong Kong. Pt. 1 星巴克，香港中環都爹利街13號樂成行地庫中層。

No school like the old school. Because it was raining and it wasn't time for lunch yet, we stopped by this hidden gem for a coffee break. The decor and furniture of the inner part of the store is all vintage Chinese. Some of the things are familiar to me from my childhood, but there are some that are far older than that. This Starbucks is located in the middle of the stairs of the Duddell Street Steps and Gas Lamps. While the drinks may be the same as any other Starbucks, the interior is something of its own! Definitely worth visiting!

Macau Restaurant (澳門茶餐廳), Hotel Panorama, Hong Kong.

Early breakfast. All four of us woke up extremely early because of jet leg, so we had a really early breakfast. It was a rather simple Hong Kong-style breakfast with the most representative foods. The service was whatever because the place was only meant to be a quick rest stop for those who work. Plus, it was run by a cranky woman who I didn't want to associate with. Food was still good though.

Milk tea comes with each meal set (the noodles were one, the breakfast set the other). It's very different from the milk team I'm used to--this one had a really rich smell (<3) but there was no sugar so it was bitter like crazy.

JIKA UDON, Hotel Panorama, Hong Kong.

Midnight meal. With only two days in Hong Kong, the standard three-meal day concept was thrown out the window. Eat as much as we can, as often as we can. I sympathize for people who work in Hong Kong; having to know English, Cantonese, and an infinite number of other languages (ex. Japanese, Mandarin) in order to communicate effectively with customers is tough!

The wooden architecture inside was beautiful. *U*

Ham & Egg Sandwich. First snack mere minutes after deplaning and before dinner with my parents and sister. Asia makes the best sandwiches (triangular, multiple layers of bread, not your standard PB&J), even if it is from the nearest convenience store.
