Summer
Our pregnancies allowed Madison and I to spend a lot more time together.
It wasn't long before I became pregnant again, and it just so happened to be around the same time Madison found out she was expecting her first child. If I enjoyed being pregnant before, I enjoyed it even more so knowing I had someone close to me who was experiencing the same changes physically and emotionally.
Isaac is a natural when it comes to fatherhood! He's persistent when it comes to teaching Bradley how to talk, walk, and use the potty. I couldn't have asked for a better helper...I mean husband.
Being a mother is difficult. I'm up early when Bradley starts crying, and I end up sleeping late when he can't go to sleep. My schedule has never been so out of whack! We hardly have time for band practice anymore. But all that is insignificant when I see him smile or laugh.
Bradley as a toddler >.<
But it was all worth it to see my son's face. We named him Bradley!
Following the initial panic, which Isaac only managed to exacerbate with his freaking out, we made it safely to the hospital where I went into labor. The whole ordeal was exhausting!
But all the fun and relaxing couldn't have possibly prepared me for what I felt when I got my first contraction.
I even played the guitar more often so the baby would hear.
I did things that made me happy, like eat ice cream in a bathing suit.
I wanted to strive to be the best mother I could be. I started by fully enjoying being pregnant. I spent my days relaxing, doing stress-free activities.
The expression on his face, however, said it all. It was going to be a thrilling new adventure for us both.
I made an appointment with the doctor about my stomach problems, and he congratulated me. It turns out I'm pregnant!
I'm pretty excited, but terrified at the same time. I didn't know how Isaac would take the news. I knew for a fact that we wouldn't end up like my parents. There is absolutely no one else in this world I can imagine being with. But how would I be as a mother? Would Isaac be a good father? Would he even take my pregnancy as good news, or would he detest it? We hadn't even discussed having kids, so I honestly didn't know what to expect when I told him.
Isaac thoughtfully came in to the bathroom with a glass of water to make sure I was all right. But I honestly didn't know what to tell him. I had no idea what was wrong with me.
I played it off as the stomach flu until later on that day when Isaac and I were at a friend's house party. I was extremely embarrassed when I had to stop dancing with Isaac suddenly so I could use the restroom to puke.
Spring
I woke up one morning feeling as though my stomach was on fire!
Not long after Isaac and I tied the knot, Linus proposed to Madison! I guess it's the season of love.
