Whatever, man...
Every time I see that last pic, I have to note that the funniest line is the one immediately after the highlight
darkest timeline where data is chatgpt and therefore stupid and bad
Oh huh! I hadn't realized I didn't post this one here on Tumblr! I finished this study in early March and have plans to have it be one of 3 pieces to go together 🙂↕️
[ID: Digital painting of Sherlock Holmes and Toby the dog, a study of Leyendecker's "Man with a dog" (1909) for Collier's Weekly. Holmes is in his coat, striped pants, top hat and grey scarf, Toby following a trace by his side. They are painted mid-motion. /end ID]

the enemy of the world thoughts
- an extremely interesting and intriguing story! it’s completely understandable why so many people love it and i wholeheartedly agree
- troughton was incredible. his acting was superb as both the doctor and salamander.
- the plot twist of the bunker was so unsuspecting and worked so well
- the doctor throwing his clothes off and running into the ocean. he’s so unserious and i love him.
- the story being set in 2018. seeing how they thought the world would be like is fascinating.
- (a fascist trying to take over the world and unjustly imprisoning people in 2018? so unrealistic what are they talking about…)
- i can’t get over them saying we have a rocket from australia to hungary that takes a few hours
- i am still loving this tardis team more and more every episode
“Otherwise, it’s interesting how much people dismiss Troughton’s performance as Salamander as “comic turn” - is it because he’s putting on a funny accent? - but I think he’s rather more magnificent than that. He shapes his face to fit the part - his upper lip is drawn back, flat and terse; his lower jaw is stiffened; and even his cheeks contrive to be sleeker, less baggily humorous. Troughton also simultaneously endows Salamander with a coldness and burning intelligence - just look at that superb final close-up, as his eyes dart about whilst his brain weighs up the implications of Bruce’s confused claim that he met with “you… or, someone like you.” Contrast this with the Doctor’s lovely wistful mourning of some broken crockery and his (ad-libbed, one suspects) line about there being enough air in the box in which he’s hiding, and you can tell that this isn’t just an actor showing off. There’s a real sense we’re dealing with two different characters.”
— Rob Shearman, speaking of Patrick Troughton’s dual role as the Doctor and as Salamander in the serial ‘Enemy of the World’ in Volume One of “Running Through Corridors” (via ladyyatexel)
ANYWAY
its almost summer!
my kingdom for a doctor who video game that is actually good
the ice warriors thoughts
- i was so excited to get to this story and see the origins of the ice warriors!
- the storyline with the computer was interesting to see watching it all these years later. the obsession with following what the computer says is “correct”
- the tardis trio trying to climb out of the tardis. the doctor standing on jamie’s head, jamie kneeling on his hand, the two of them pulling victoria up. i couldn’t stop laughing!
- two and jamie continue to be a bonded pair. love that for them.
- i adore victoria! it was so easily for the writers to fall into the “useless woman from the past” trope but she really holds her own
- that said can they please continue writing victoria that way
But why do they want to harm us?
