Took me quite some time, research, cross checking, correction and nerves, but here we are 😘

I had to rearrange the table due to two cases:

Boscombe Valley Mystery

Previously set in the year 1888, I had to correct it to 1889

Turns out Monday, 3rd June was only possible in 1889

The Second Stain

It's mentioned multiple times throughout the canon, but in the actual case, Watson tries to be secretive about the date. Fortunately, he gives himself away in NAVA

So, I corrected my previous date to July 1888

Why are we doing this at all, in the 1980s of the 20th century? Why are we doing it?' He started saying something about some sort of 'Englishness'...

I interrupted him: 'That's all nonsense! Can you state the purpose of the film in a single sentence?'

'No. Can you?'

'I can! We are making a film about how two highly gifted men, one of whom is simply a genius, selflessly come to the aid of those in distress! If this becomes our overarching task, then the series will succeed.'

And it did succeed.

I started reading some of the Greek translation of the return of Sherlock Holmes I bought the other day and

1) in the empty house, where the original text is "well remembered voice", the Greek text is translated "beloved voice" and I'm not okay about it

2) nothing could prepare me for how deeply seeing the word "companion" in Greek hits

3) because Greek has levels of speech, it's been fascinating seeing the translators choices! For example, Lestrade and Holmes start off using the polite/formal/professional "you" to each other but here and there Holmes starts using the informal you to the point where, by the middle of the six Napoleons, he almost exclusively speaks to Lestrade informally xnsjsjs

4) ofc things hit harder in ones native tongue (see: companion) but holy shit is the Greek translation just that much more gay, wow

All my marginalia just reads "I know what you are"
