My favorite episode of the show, “The Wrong Door”, will probably stick with me forever.
I don’t know how intentional it was, but the episode cleverly robs the listener of the safety of knowing that the characters are in control of their situation. Because, since it’s audio only, the characters are now in the same position as the listener.
Every time I re-listen to that episode, I have a moment where I go:
“Oh no, they know as much about this thing as me! They’re in trouble.”
I love this show so much.
Cormac McCarthy had such an interesting way with language. One sentence will be an eloquent passage in purple prose while the next would be banal and matter-of-fact. I can’t get enough of it.
Do you ever wonder, Matthews said, do you ever wonder how it happens? The Good Book spares to say how it will feel for those who follow the word, and what it reveals about the rest is welcomed among the deepest of nightmares. As the world is broken asunder by the hands of God and we hear the aria of angels and opera of demons harmonious will we be struck with terror until the end when our souls escape to heaven like ashes fleeing from a fire? Will that be our resolution? Torment. Dying. And then peace?
Sure, James said and urinated on the tree.
I just wanted to make a tribute to some of my favorite pieces of media. All of these have had a profound impact on my life. I wouldn’t part with any of them. I like how they turned out, and I hope everyone will enjoy them.
I’ve really enjoyed this podcast, but I’ve felt guilty that I haven't been able to produce substantial art for it. But after a bad migraine screwed up my sleep schedule I decided to change that. Behold 12 hours of hard work. I’m most proud of the Kingmaker-Trio’s icons, I thought they turned out well. Ariadne was a little more difficult—because she has a full body—but I think she turned out well. The format of the battle system is a little too busy. I hope it’s at least clear how it works (Part Chrono Trigger; Part FFX).
If anyone has feedback, good or bad, give it, please. I’d love to hear it.
