Hamtaro Nazo Nazo Q translation release!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our American friends! And for those who do not celebrate, a Happy Thursday! Today we are not going to offer you fancy sunflower seeds or anything, but we do have a treat for you! As you may be aware if you have been on the community for a good while, that our staff member Kristo has been working together with a user named irdkwia to release an english translation of the Nintendo DS game Hamtaro: Nazo Nazo Q. And today, they are releasing an almost complete version of the game, perfectly playable from start to end! All that is left to translate are a few riddles, for which we'd like to remind you that we are taking suggestions! Maybe after you play the game for a bit, you get some funny ideas. In case you are unaware, Hamtaro Nazo Nazo Q is a puzzle and trivia game released for the Nintendo DS, but it was never localized overseas, unlike the later game Hi! Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Challenge which was more of a compedium of minigames. This game has an actual story and includes a lot of characters from later in the series, like Nande, Sky-Ham and the Ham-Ha Tree denizens. With this version of the ROM, you can completely play the story in english, as well as solve most of the riddles which have been adapted to english speaking audiences thanks to the hard work of Kristo, Irdkwia and other people that contributed with their own riddles! This has been a very, very long project, the first official announcement was back in 2019 but the work on it started before that.

We want to thank Kristopher and Irdkwia for their amazing job at tackling down the translation of something as unique and difficult to do as Nazo Nazo Q. The game is a blast and even a bit challenging, so we hope you enjoy it!

Naturally, we can't tell you how you can play it because of legal reasons, but a quick search online will help you on that regard.

I think I still have the game guide my dad printed out for me as a kid with the full page Hamtaro ASCII art and ASCII maps somewhere. Ham-Ham Heartbreak will always have a special place in my heart 🥹 Moonlight Sonata is a Hamtaro song to me
