I am not a morning person, and I haven't finished my giant cup of coffee yet. (It's 20 ounces, if you need to know) But yesterday I had an amazing breakthrough when it comes to overcoming some fears that I had. I took my leaps, without knowing the outcome. I do not ever do this, out of fear of rejection. First, I faced a nemesis head on. Told them how I felt and that was that. They didn't respond, like I asked them to, and I haven't heard anything from them since. I didn't wake up to some stupid anonymous email, text or message. This makes me happy because maybe my point has been driven into their head and they won't bother me anymore. (But she does run in a crowd, they are like roaches, where there's one, you know there's more hiding in the shadows.) I am very proud of myself because I did this tactfully and tastefully. She cannot try and get me in trouble for harassment because it was, in fact, freedom of speech, so I'm done with that chapter in my book. Closed, signed, stamped, NEXT! Second, I reconnected with a cousin of mine. About 4 years ago, my husband, cousin and I got into an argument that basically ended my relationship with my cousin. It hurt a lot, he was my favorite cousin and was always there for me. If I needed him to whoop someone's ass, I'm sure he would have done it. But last night, I talked to his wife, we caught up and it felt amazing. I've missed so much in their family life and they've missed so much of mine, just because of one stupid fight. When we go back home, they will only live about 30 minutes away from us, so I am hoping lunch dates and dinner and drinks are in order a lot. My cousin meant a lot to me, and now that there is hope that I will see him and get to maybe even hug him, is such a great thought! I camt wait to hug my cousin, and her daughter. Hopefully, they can teach me how to do some makeup so I don't look like such a mom/housewife. š I'm not very good at taking the first step or even leaping out of faith, but it worked this time.
