Just a bunch of panels of Loid and Anya, where Loid is slowly learning how to be a father. (More like he's graduated to tired father of the year and nowhere near figuring Anya out.)

INT – Caitlyn’s Bedroom –
The room smells like fresh cut flowers. Caitlyn and Vi are laying on the bed gazing into each others eyes just as knocking is heard on the door. “Caitlyn dear- I need another word with you please.” It’s her mothers voice behind the door. Caitlyn sits up leaning on her knees and sighs “what now” she thinks to herself then replies “coming mother.” Vi looks towards Caitlyn and she has the biggest grin on her face. “Is Cupcake in trouble? haha” Caitlyn embarrassingly waves her hand “no….no it’s nothing. I’ll be right back.” Standing up she walks towards the bedroom door as Vi rolls back onto her stomach watching her with a smile thinking how hilarious it is that Caitlyn is about to get reprimanded by her mother again. “don’t worry Cupcake. I’ll hold down the fort.” She winks at Caitlyn teasing her as Caitlyn rolls her eyes back thinking about how ridiculous this is that her mother wants to talk with her again. Maybe it was about how she swore in-front of her parents, her mother didn’t seem very pleased about that however this wasn’t the worst part of her day as she did almost just die. As Caitlyn leaves the room, she accidentally leaves the door partially open while continuing to walk down the hallway into her mother’s office.
Vi glances at the door and does another look around the room astonished with how anyone could live in such a place. The room was as larger as a house back in the Undercity. “Wow, this is incredible.” rolling onto her back in awe she then pushes off the bed and lands on her feet surveying the room. “who owns so much stuff….is this wealth…..” she walks around the room towards the door and notices- “a street lamp?......what the…hell…” was that even normal to have in a bedroom or inside a house? She pondered to herself as she took a peek outside the door into the hallway.
It was dead silent, not a person in sight. The hall was long with tall ceilings which led into a centre atrium, every piece of wallpaper and furniture looked custom specifically for the residence. Vi casually started to walk around as quietly as possible bewildered with what this house palace was. Who was Caitlyn and why was she an enforcer? It didn’t seem like a job fit for someone living in this kind of place. Vi ran her fingers across a pillar that run up towards the ceiling and then she noticed something on the wall and cocked an eyebrow.
A large photo of the Kiramman family and little Caitlyn had a rifle in her arms. Vi covered her mouth as she burst out of laughing-of course she had a rifle in her arms. Vi took a deep breath just about to continue wandering around the house until she was interrupted. “Excuse me….” Vi reeled back embarrassed feeling extremely out of place. It was a mans voice and when she turned to face him, she realized it was Caitlyn’s father. She was caught…although she wasn’t trying so hard to hide herself as she was standing in the middle of the atrium. “um……I was looking for the washroom…yeah…” she blurted out as an automatic response not knowing what else to say. The man had a slight smile on his face knowing that the girl was looking lost and bewildered “it’s two doors down the hallway to the left.” Vi feeling a little flustered smiled “ah thank you!” she started to walk in the direction of the washroom that she did not need. “Wait- Vi was it?” He asked her as Vi stopped dead in her tracks and turned back around unsure what was to happen next. Caitlyn’s father walked closer to her “you took care of Caitlyn in the Undercity right?” Vi stood there not sure how to respond because she knew that Caitlyn also could stand her own ground at times too-unless she got lost. As soon as Vi opened her mouth to respond “I-“ she felt Caitlyn’s father hug her tightly. “Thank you.” It was a strange feeling to have a random person hug her and thank her but his warmth felt loving and familiar reminding her of her own father hugging her as a child. “So, this is where Caitlyn gets it” she thought to herself as she felt the man ease off on the hug. Looking towards Vi caringly with a little worry in his voice “please watch out for her…” he knew that Caitlyn was very good at getting herself in trouble. She did not always listen to her superiors when it came to her work solving a case even though her intentions were always to help others. He understood that and admired that in his daughter. In the moment Vi’s only response was to nod; how was she going to respond “hey your daughter broke me out of jail, went to the Undercity, drugged me and shot a crazy woman in the arm who thought she could beat me in a fight. Ha.” she thought to herself yeah that wouldn’t go over so well. Vi watched as the man stepped back and descend down a hallway leaving Vi alone once more.
Caitlyn’s father continued to walk down the hall until he reached a large set of white doors, he lightly knocks on a door before entering. The room is enormous with shelves on the left and right off the walls, a sitting area in the front and a desk in the back. It was the office for the council woman (Caitlyn’s mother) that she had professionally designed herself and she had extraordinary taste. In the room at the sitting area Caitlyn and her mother sat across from each other chatting. “Excuse me- Caitlyn.” Her father had waved her over. Caitlyn stood up and walked over to her father as he whispered into her ear “I think your friend is lost in our house. She seemed very confused.” He leaned back and smiled at his wife as though nothing was wrong because he knew that she would be upset to find out that Caitlyn’s friend from the Undercity was wandering around. Caitlyn rolled her eyes wondering what the heck Vi was up to-it was only a house. A smile crossed her face “thanks.” She hugged her dad and walked out of the room as he walked in to attend to his wife.
Vi had been strolling the hallways and ended up entering a room that was covered wall to wall with books. It was nothing she had ever seen before. There were large windows that would let the light in during the day and connected to the room was a small outdoor garden for reading. Upon entering the room Vi ran her fingers across the spine of row of books astonished by whatever this was. “Lost are we?” Caitlyn stands in the door frame with a grin on her face. “you were suppose to stay in my room”. Vi is too mystified to turn back to face Caitlyn “what is this?” she asks. Caitlyn walks into the room “They’re books. You’ve had books before, right?” Vi spins around and snaps back “Yes. I know what a book is-but I’ve only a couple growing up…. this is insane. It’s like hundreds of books here.” Caitlyn causally pulls a book out of one of the shelves and opens it “thousand or so. This is the family library”. Vi glares at Caitlyn finally asking the question on her mind that she already knew the answer to “Library? Woh here….Cupcake are you rich? This is..crazy- people were lucky to have a couple of books in the Undercity.” Caitlyn shuts her book and looks up at Vi curious “Vi, have you never been in a library? You know what a library is right?” Vi stumbles back responding as quickly as possible trying to act like she knows what she is talking about “yeah of course I know what a library is – right.. like it’s a bunch of books on walls and things.” She was so out of her element it was kind of cute and she was starting to get noticeably frustrated. Caitlyn smiled teasing Vi “right.” She pushed the book back into the row she took it out of. “HEY NOW! At least I never had a street light in my bedroom and I live in Zaun” Vi scoffed unsure who in their right mind would do that. Caitlyn and Vi both looked at each other and laughed. “If I told you my mother got it for me would you believe me?” Caitlyn replied as they both stepped out of the library walking back to Caitlyn’s bedroom. “No.” Vi answered back. Caitlyn had a moment of silence “…….” and as she opened the door to her room smiled “Yeah-you’re right.” They enter the room and Vi turns to her to look her in the eyes shaking her head “Ohh Cupcake. You’re something else.” The bedroom door shuts behind them.

Post notes: Whenever I write a short – I assume its going to be short and then I get into it.
I enjoy writing some comic relief and putting characters in awkward situations and I enjoyed writing this. Shout out to @designer-fiction who inspired me to write it based off the Tobias appreciation post.
I almost had Tobias say “Take care of my daughter” instead of “Watch out for her” – but I thought the first dialogue was too strong. I think as a fan yeah it’s what we want to hear but as a character choice I didn’t think it fit yet. Also, it didn’t fit what happens later in the episode when Vi and Caitlyn separate.
Additionally Tobias in this purposely kept his wife busy to allow time for his daughter to find Vi. That was a choice I thought he would make as a loving father.
I wanted to take Vi out of her element and see real wealth as its is overwhelming and kind of a mystery. It’s even those little things that matter. In this case it was the books. I assume books would be hard to get in Zaun and extremely expensive and/or you had to steal them.
So, a wandering Vi – in Caitlyn’s house made sense to me haha. It’s like a Museum. LOL.
I honestly took a moment to think if Vi and Powder had the ability to read based of their class status but I believe they can because Jinx figured out the Hextech by reading the notes from Jayce. I assume Vander taught them.
Caitlyn teaching Vi how to read was a brief thought. Well, I established a massive library now.
The street light – in Caitlyn’s room for the most random deco-art LOL. It was something that I laughed about and could now incorporate in my story so that everyone else could laugh about it. I love the little details in this show.
Anyhow If you enjoyed it please share it- so others can enjoy.
