The next kiss was gentler. Slow and tender, just as Ed liked it. Oswald held Ed’s cheek with one hand, while he located the other between the taller man’s back and the sink’s edge, softly massaging the spot where the bruise must be.
It ended rather quickly as Oswald tasted some saltiness. He leaned back, looking at his companion.
He never saw Ed cry, not once, and the sight took the air out of him, reminding him where they are, what their situation is, and why Ed is crying.
Oswald sighed as he fixed Ed’s tie. He let his hands brush his chest softly and settle there. Ed’s face was covered in tears, his nose red, and the more he tried to fight back the hiccups, the more his chest popped and rattled under Oswald’s hand.
“ This is it, isn’t it?” Ed sniffled,” You have to freeze me now.”
“ I don’t know…” Oswald pulled back his hand lest he does something rash like wipe Ed’s tears, “ You once said that freezing you would be the kindest thing I’d ever do to you… does that still stand?”
“ Yes..” Ed mumbled then reached out for Oswald’s hands. Shaky slender hands held his and cradled them against his chest. Ed’s heart rambled underneath his touch, and his voice came out in a quiver,” But this, this is the most twisted thing you ever did to me.”
Oswald stepped closer, lowering his hands so they would rest on Ed’s waist,” Do you want me to do it again?”
“ please. ”
With that, Oswald placed his hand on the side of Ed’s neck, he gently brushed the hairs on the back before pulling him, finally closing whatever distance lay between them, cursing them into entanglement.
