Saw one of those posts where someone was like “Boba Fett was only 37 in Return of the Jedi?? He shoulda been at the clubbb” and like. I cannot stress enough how much he was AT the club. He was chilling in the corner but he was at the club. Max Rebo was there and everything
Lmao how retro and fun
AKOTSK GIF MEME: ↳ [1/6] Scenes
Tom'aliit Kryz and Aliit Kryz: their buy'cese.
The leading Clan of the planet of Kalevala, uses a style of buy'ce that is very common across mandalorians, with the only noticeable change in its structure being the slight dents of the visor's shape.
When it comes to the paint-job, some clan members and those working directly under their command (like guards etc.) use an intricate design, consisting of a blue base, golden painted lines going all around the helmet (and the armor), and bare beskar.
The Clan instead uses a very simple design, with the colors being two shades of blue, white and bare beskar.
In Kalevalan tradition, blue is the color of justice, gold is the color of memory, and white is the color of responsibility (and also death in some cases).
Due to managing in keeping the planet and its Clans peaceful and out of conflicts for hundreds of years, the members of the Clan prefer to paint their beskar'gam with the intricate House's design, since most of them would wear it only ceremonies (and other special occasions), and not so much in their daily life, while the Clan's design was mostly used in times of war, due to its simplicity, and will later make a comeback during the Imperial era.
The other helmets are only worn by two very specific people: the Alori'sol (Duke/Duchess) and their Maan'ii'bor (Heir) (x). These helmets have been handed down for 700 years, and while they have been modified to accommodate different head shapes (especially if their were aliens), the design of the "face" has remained unchanged, in fact in them the color gold is not painted, but it is a different material (space brass) directly inserted in the helmet, originally done so that their enemies could not cancel their symbols forever by just painting it over.
The rule states that only the Alor of the House and the Heir that they have designated can wear them, but only on ceremonies, since they were not originally designed for battles, and lack much of the equipment needed for them.
An old Clan's belief says that since the helmets have never been repainted or reforged for so long, that if someone wears it for too long they will be able to hear the echoes of the founder of the House, Mand'alor Ko'rang Kryze te Gotal'ad (the Maker), and her daughter/heir, Tom'okar Kryze te Verburyc (the Loyal).
ladies of the Republic Commando novels, my beloved
i drew these bc i have an impossible time picturing faces when reading novels and needed some visualization for myself!
a moment to appreciate s3, especially the finale, they really fed us
u used to be able to put a dvd in your computer. and then u could watch it
I wanna point out that this is also a Vietnam-era US tactic. Israel is doing atrocities but it's not the unique origin of everything bad.
Recordings of screaming & crying are used in psychological tactics not only to provoke action from people who think the recordings are real, but to stress out people who know they are fake (ex., when we play them at people in Guantanamo Bay for 72 hours straight). Broadcasting a loop of a woman screaming seems more in line with this use.
i have a suggestion
Hello Claire! I was wondering if I could ask about a bit of one of your pieces. In the Mos Eisley Morning piece, there's a bit of writing on the right-hand side (above the astromech). May I ask what it says? Thanks!
it says "KARK JABA" or the equivalent of "FUCK JABBA" in Huttese—Disney made me take it out for the final, unfortunately. 😅
the other two edits I had to make, which are still hilarious to me:
Sandtroopers ALWAYS wear their SD-48 survival backpacks NO EXCEPTIONS
Jawas ALWAYS have two crossed bandoliers, NO EXCEPTIONS
If I had a nickel for everytime there was official art of Boba Fett doing recreational water sports. I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

This scene was such a good addition to the show. Not just in showing off how good an actor Dexter Sol Ansell is, but also a pretty great example of exactly what Dunk is trying to tell Maekar. One sight of his white hair growing in and Egg is so traumatized and full of anger that he wants to Actually Murder Aerion. He needs to get out of that environment that raises the kind of spoiled, vengeful, dangerous princes that we've seen in HOTD and AKOTSK.
Makes the change that Maekar doesn't actually consent to Egg leaving a bit stranger, like he doesn't seem to understand the problem even when it's staring him in the face. But maybe it's for the best that Egg makes the active choice on his own to recognize the issue and leave before he becomes someone terrible. In that light, the change is better for Egg's character than it is for Maekar's which is probably better for the show since we won't be seeing Maekar until S4 at the earliest.
was replaying burning shores and accidentally stumbled upon this?? how have i not seen this anywhere? "miss me?" god i hate her😭
I couldn't find an official translation so forgive me but it says
"Sometimes we have to look at things that aren't cute and make us uncomfortable."
"Because I don't really understand it."
"Because it has nothing to do with me."
"Because it just feels unpleasant."
"If we keep turning a blind eye like that until we can't see anything anymore, then eventually even the cute things will disappear."
You know, i talk about these boys any chance i get but I don’t draw them much pffff. One of my goals for this year is to get more comfortable with posting my (messy sketches).
