I was inspired by the black-out poems made by @playing-with-colors and decided to apply it to the locked tomb series!

Ted Chiang, “Why A.I. isn’t Going to Make Art.” The New Yorker.
You deserve so much more than what I have to give you. On the day you want to remember me, take a look at the portrait we took together. I say this because I’m afraid that one day you will forget me too. I miss my father, I miss everything.
Central do Brasil (1998) — dir. Walter Salles

whenever people try to argue that chainsaw man isn't an inherently political series it's like ok yeah so one of the main villains of part 1 being the manifestation of the fear of guns meant nothing to you. and there's definitely no further meaning to his ability activation being the killing of innocent people in a certain radius based on arbitrary random criteria. they literally linger on a shot of children in a church choir being brutally murdered when it happens. the other main villain is a government employee whose interactions with the japanese government leaves her with a flawed perception of relationships and lack of empathy for human life. she begins to understand relationships as having inherent power dynamics because of the way they treat their citizens and ultimately finds herself incapable of seeing people as anything but a means to an end and that is both her strength and her downfall. this might be the most political currently running manga series if we're being honest. but it's also, crucially, about a guy who can turn his head into a chainsaw
armand being a dubai real estate mogul with an obvious aesthetic predilection towards rick owens and balenciaga is significantly less defensible than any of the other stuff he did. ‘he murdered claudia and manipulated louis for years’ god forbid an evil vampire in the gothic horror show do anything. ‘armand would own a cybertruck’ you know i cant defend him on that
