The Bad Batch x Reader (no warnings-rated G for Green)
(*Beautiful, lush, needs support to create a firm foundation to flourish. Can wither if overwhelmed.)
Through this weekend and next week I'll do a plant for each of the clones of The Bad Batch. The squad is tasked with taking care of your plants while you go out on mission.
LET THE SHENANIGAN'S BEGIN!!!
"Just keep it moist, but not soggy" You directed.
Hunter stares down the plant, then glances back at you "Uh, sure..."
"I'll write down instructions..." you offer.
"No need. Think I got it." He perks up.
"You sure?" This plant is THE prized one in your collection, having nurtured it from a tiny wee sproutling.
"Yeah. How hard can it be?" He shrugs.

Hunter makes sure to water your plant daily. He even sits next to it, to help him remember, while sipping his morning caf.
He waters it from the bottom like you advised. However...he starts OVERTHINKING the process...
The soil looks dry-ish to Hunter.
"Moist but not soggy..." he says to himself.
Then starts watering from the top in addition to pouring water onto the dish under the pot.
Several days before you are to arrive home, Omega finds Hunter sitting next to a very wilted and yellowing plant.
He's anxious.
"You watered it from the top too?" She surmises.
Hunter sighs and nods.
"It's probably got root rot. Too much of a good thing" She adds.
Hunter smiles at her plant smarts. "Guess I should have consulted the plant expert, huh?"
Omega lays a loving hand on her brother's shoulder. "You did the best you could" She reassures.
"Should have let Y/N write everything down. I overestimated how picky plants are..." Hunter berates himself.
"Plants are hard" Omega commiserates "Like trying to keep a goldfish alive...I should know!"
Hunter nods at the memory of Omega and the Batchers standing over the household toilet, saying goodbye to "Wobbles" the defective feeder goldfish Omega HAD to rescue from the local pet store. Tech had suggested a funeral ritual to help Omega process the grief of her pet passing.
"Need to take action" Hunter starts formulating a plan. "Can't have Y/N come home to...THIS." He motions to the plant corpse.
Omega pulls out a datapad "The plant store closes in two hours."
Hunter smiles "You got it! We'll get a replacement..."
"AND a plant care book, too!" Omega adds.
Hunter grabs his keys and nods to Omega "You riding shotgun?"
"Of COURSE!" Omega beams.
"We MIGHT even have time to get some ice cream too..."Hunter winks.
Omega squeals with joy and runs ahead to the minivan.

You guys love my clone art so hereās something I did a little while backā¦I think after all his time around Anakin, Rex would become kinda āfat strongā. He needs those muscles to help his General around, but all those supply runs and paid for mealsā¦well, I mean, he didnāt wanna be RUDE.
first you gotta do the build up and then the actual fucking and the fucking is pretty easy but you never know how long the fucking should last, and eventually you're like "okay I'm tired of this" so the characters cum, but you're not done yet because you can't just end it at "he fucking nutted everywhere" you gotta keep going, and the characters have to chat a little or cry or think about how horrible they are or something and then you kinda don't know when to end that either so now you're 2k words in and you might have put too much self hatred and not enough sucking dick. so you wrap it up, and think well it's done now.
or sometimes you have it all perfect in your mind and you knock the whole thing out in 2 to 3 hours.
i know i say this often but i cannot say it loud enough: people who comment on fics, people who reblog posts and engage with fanworks are the people who generate community and without them fandom would be nowhere, so truly thank you for your presence, you make the world go 'round <3

Part 5 of drawing the Bad Batch in the one art style Iāve even remotely consistently been able to do, today we have bug-eyed Echo!! (Part 5/at least 4ā¦)
I am at least going to draw Omega as well and while the costuming of this series has been completely inconsistent, Iām feeling her season 2 lookā¦
And why itās one of my favourite scenes in The Bad Batch
Okay, so it should go without saying that I absolutely adore every single scene of Echo and Omega, their dynamic is just *chefs kiss*
But the small moment we get of the two at the market with Omega's newly acquired doll is just everything to me, and here's why:
So first thing's first, Echo is making space for a little girl in a busy market. And he is letting her take up space, he is letting her be a child in a galaxy that forces them to grow up too quickly. He shares her curiosity and childlike wonder with her, I'd go so far as to say he encourages her to lean into her innocent wonder.
Echo gives Omega his full attention despite there being about a million other things he could be focusing on, they're in an unfamiliar setting surrounded by hundreds of people. And as Fennec later proves, not all of these civilians are safe. But still, he gives Omega his undivided attention when he could have easily insisted she wait until they're back on the Marauder.
And maybe I've just rewatched that scene one too many times because I noticed that Echo hunches over slightly, makes himself smaller when giving Omega his attention. He's a tall dude especially compared to Hunter but we see him visibly making himself smaller to converse with Omega, once again showing that she's quite literally the only thing that matters to him in that moment, rest of the galaxy be damned.
Perhaps my favourite detail is that Echo too fusses over the doll. He takes it between his fingers and cradles it with his scomp. A tool that he's come to use through necessity after being torn apart by the separatists, is what he uses to steady the innocent comfort of his sister.
Echo is so tenderly gentle with Omega and her doll here when he has every reason not to be gentle after what he's gone through. But we see it time and time again, especially with Omega, that he softens himself in her company. Moreso than when he's with the other Batchers.
Anyways...I love this man with my entire being and the compassion and kindness that he encapsulates is just *MWAH* š
Also, lowkey embarrassed to post something like this because I have NEVER posted these kinds of analysis posts. I fear my adhd brain makes my ramblings nonsensical and a bit sporicidal. But here's to pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones in the last checks calendar five months of the year
