While we’re on the topic of changes, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Nettles change was due to HBO studio not wanting to change their branding. It just feels like all my issues with Hotd is due money. They put so much money in it and now the studio is afraid of doing anything that isn’t expected or not what audiences expect from Game of Thrones.

I am watching House of the Dragon and I think it’s a 7.5/10 show that could have been an 8.5 with more episodes and George RR Martins help. I think Ryan Condal is good at establishing how chaotic civil wars are, but he seems afraid to have some of the protagonist be bad people. (Mainly Rhaynera). It wouldn’t surprise me if they’re falling out due to the studio wanting no risks of people disliking Rhaynera or seeing her as a bad person.

Critical Role Spoilers: I love Brennans world building because he shows how dangerous magic would be in the wrong hands. The orcs, who worked for their magic, used it to help honor their community. Meanwhile the Tachonis’s especially Primus use magic as a crutch to spread fear.

Primus is so prideful in his magic ability that he’s causing major political damage to his own house. The other sundered houses don’t even fear him.

Major Critical Role Spoilers:

Don’t shoot me, but I feel like Teor’s death was probably the best outcome story wise. It’s a reminder that the sundered houses are brutal and cruel. It could have major implications for Thimble, Kattigan, Wic and anyone who used to fight with the torn banner.

I feel like people are forgetting that one; Thimble is a fey and two even in the war she was always with Thaizji Fang, who is hinted at being an incredibly powerful wizard. We don’t know how much she saw of the more ‘questionable’ parts of Thiazji.

It makes sense that she would still try to hang on to this sense of heroism even when it’s not tactical.

Euphoria season 3 feels like Sam Levinson watched Martin Scorsese and Quientin Tarintino movies without understanding you need strong writing and visuals.

All of his critiques of sex work just feel so skin deep and none of his shocking scenes feel shocking or earned.
