newly created sideblog for creative writing and translation by rhys c.d. (@postarcadian).
the main project here for the time being will be the eclogae californicae (#eclogues) - a series of short poems inspired by the city of los angeles, each very loosely adapted from one of vergil's eclogues. the plan is to post one daily or at least every few days, provided life does not intervene (which, given that I am finishing my doctorate in a month, it inevitably will).
also using this as a space to archive some older writing and translation, and likely for future writing/adaptation projects. theocritus? ovid? tbd
all words are my own except for the ones that are borrowed from ancient poets.
