Microsystem - Immediate Family
(From Oldest to Youngest)
Dad (Noly) - 48
Mom (Cecil) - 47
Christian - 20
Chelsey (Me) -18
Christopher - 13
Carmen - 11
Cameron - 7
Brownie - 8 (Labrador)

Parents have a Symmetrical Work/ Family Role Allocation kind of relationship. Both of my parents work, and when we were kids, we were put into daycare. My mother is the “bread-winner” in the family. However, both of them own their own business, “Core Rehabilitation Center”. My mom is a Physical Therapist, while my dad is a Physical Therapist Assistant. They both have jobs in Home Health Care.
I am close to each of my siblings.
Christian is the oldest son. He goes to ETSU and majors in Digital Media. He is a genuine person with amazing art talents.
Christopher is the middle child. He is very smart and wins awards for his academic achievements and contests. We are very alike in both personality, sense of humor, and appearance. We joke that we are actually twins.
Carmen is my only sister. She is artistic and athletic. She makes art, but is also very talented in gymnastics. She likes fashion and drama.
Cameron is the baby of the family. He like to play video games on his tablet. He is extremely outgoing and funny.
Brownie is our big-bear-of-a-dog, and he is a family pet. Truffles is my younger sister’s pet.
Microsystems - Friends in College
These are people I had met just this year. Although our relationships are kinda short, I have experienced many things with these girls and have grown to have close relationships with them. This is only the beginning.
Janet L.: We met in our orientation group in the summer. We came into contact again the day before the first day of college. She was my first true friend on campus. We are going to room together next year.
Lara C.: We had the same English class, and I found out we were both Filipino, so we decided to get lunch afterwards. After finding how much we had in common, we became really close and I consider a close friend.
Maria A.: After coming together on a project for SGA, we eventually found out we had a lot of the same interests. I can call her one of my best friends now.
Microsystems - Friends Back Home
These are people I have made friendships from in my school and from church. SOme of my relationships are stronger than others. Some of the friends back home, I have lost and we no longer communicate. For the most part, I remain in some contact with a majority of them.
Microsystems - Clubs and Organizations
Junior year I was part of my church’s confirmation group. Later the next year, I became a leader for that group. I also participate in my church’s choir.
I was in choir from 6th grade until now. The picture is from my senior year with my school’s Advanced Choir.
This picture shows my Forensics Team. We did competitive acting.
This image shows the Women’s Chorale of the University of Tennessee, which I am currently in.
I am currently the President for the Filipino-American Association at UT. The image shows us winning the International Dance Competition in 2017.
Not pictured:
As a Freshman, I was part of the Multicultural Mentoring Program and the Outreach Program where I had a peer mentor.
For the 2017-18 school year, I was elected as Off-Campus Senator for SGA.
Mesosystem
The people I took choir in also counted as some of my closest friends. This can also go for my forensics team. I meet a lot of my friends through the organizations and activities that I participate in.
People who attended my church also became a support system for me. When I was more involved in church, peers and those who ran programs within the church became a group of people I could confide in.
My siblings are some of my closest friends. I am also really close to my cousins in the way that I would consider them my friends, as well.
Friends I have in college are also my classmates. I can count on them for emotional support and school-related help.
Exosystem
Pictured are institutes I was a part of.
The first is of Morristown Hamblen East High School, my high school. Within there, I participated in organizations and extracurricular activities.
St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Morristown was the Catholic church I attended. This system allowed me to partake in community service, choir, and being an organization leader.
The first two pictured systems both played a role into getting into the University of Tennessee- Knoxville. Being in clubs in high school and the services I performed in church allowed me to better my application for college. Although I am a student, this college is part of my exosystem because it holds some of the microsystems I am a part of.
The fourth picture is of a business card from my parent’s business that they run. They are Physical Therapist and its been the foundation for my family’s income.
The last photo is Cracker Barrel’s Logo. This is a restaurant that my family regularly eats at.

Most Influential People
My mother.
Our relationship has been rocky and complicated. She was the cause of most of my insecurities as a child. I blamed her for some of my most troubling years. Recently, we have come to understand each other better.
Most Influential People
Lara C.
I only met her the first semester of my Freshman year. We had two things in common at the time, an English class and the fact that we are both Filipino. Since then, we share much more. She continues to challenge my thinking and worldly views, and to see things from many perspectives. She also serves as someone I can compete against and someone to strive to be as successful as.
Most Influential People
Saquan S.
The most fleeting friendship I ever endured. He left my life just as fast as he came into it. He taught me to pick my friends carefully. He is the second friend who has dropped me with almost no reason. Most parts of our friendships consisted of lies including him pretending to be a UT student. The relationship was abusive and one-sided.
Most Influential People
Jose S.
We have been best friends since my Sophomore year. He helped me to understand and accept my sexuality. I was able to feel comfortable in confiding in him since he came out before me. He continues to stand by my side and remains a close, dear friend of mine. The picture is from my Senior Prom where he escorted me as my date.
Most Influential People
Kristin P.
We met first semester Junior year. She was my best friend from that time until June 2014. She taught me to consider which people in my life were toxic and which are meant to bring meaning into it. She just happened to be both.
When our friendship ended I told myself to never get close to anyone ever again.
Most Influential People
Rose and Rosie
They are a youtube couple that I have followed for several years. I look to them for inspiration, hope, and entertainment. They recently got married.
