Obviously I can’t speak for everyone, but the people I know where talking about it as hoping it would accelerate the end of the invasion of Ukraine. I think there’s a difference between being hopeful about the coup succeeding and being hopeful that the coup would have drained the Russian military of enough resources to make them easier to push out of their imperial claims
I hope this means you also wish the Jan. 6 rioters had succeeded and sparked a civil war between Trump and Biden so half of the US' military stationed at the 800+ military bases overseas had to come home from their "imperial conquests" and accelerate the end of the US' invasion of the entire world but somehow I doubt that's the case

The war in Ukraine is a proxy war with only one side using a proxy. NATO goaded Russia into war and it's using Ukrainians to fight its war for it. They're giving Ukraine enough aid to draw the war out but not enough to win. Because the point isn't to save Ukraine, it's to weaken Russia as much as possible. The stated aim of the US ruling class is to turn Ukraine into the Soviet-Afghan war. And just like they funded the Taliban, Western countries are creating a monster supporting far-right battalions like Azov. The West wants Ukraine to be a quagmire. And they don't care how shattered the country gets because then they get to make money rebuilding it.
It’s actually insane how effectively the West has psyoped its liberal populace into thinking “supporting Ukraine” means signing off on billion dollar weapons deals to keep the country as an active war zone for as long as possible, all for no other reason than to bleed Russia so some think tank demons can add a notch to their resume.
You can tell when people started paying attention because most are completely oblivious to the weeks of Russia trying to negotiate with NATO to prevent this war only for NATO to repeatedly just refuse to entertain the idea of reaching any sort of compromise, to say nothing of the years of attempting to resolve the conflict in Eastern Ukraine.
But no, this is definitely all Russia's fault.

Much has been said about unrealistic female anatomy, but is it not even more bizarre and fucking terrible that <90% of generic male drawing tutorials show some kind of monstrous aftermath of bodybuilding, steroids and extreme dehydration and are like "this is a basic male torso"
In the nicest way possible, if you see this as "basic" male anatomy and all other possibilities as variations on this, your art will be Not Good except in circumstances of dumb luck
99% of men Do Not look like this, ever, at all, and out of those that ever do, they Do Not look like this 99% of the time.
Abs don't appear defined unless you're tensing and flexing your whole abdomen, and they don't appear that defined unless you're unhealthily dehydrated. You don't get abs like that in the first place unless you're doing intense workouts, dumping protein in everything you eat, and probably restricting food unhealthily specifically to get that kind of look
But it's not a problem just because it's unrealistic, it's a problem because it betrays a fundamental misunderstanding of what muscle is and does.
Like, drawing bodies in dynamic poses is not going to be very fun for you if you don't get that muscle is squishy when relaxed and you're imagining it as this tough, stiff pulley system
like, if you look at renaissance and baroque paintings of men, which were painted by masters of anatomy who did intensive studies including disections to learn how to depict the male body, the men in those paintings and sculptures DONT look like the above. they almost never have defined abs.
for instance, if you look at rubens abduction of ganymede,
an idealised figure of a man who is meant to be very attractive. hes literally ganymede! but not only does he not have abs, you can see rolls of fat where his trunk bends. his arms are clearly muscular but the dehydrating looking hyperdefinition is clearly lacking. below is michelangelo, who specialized in painting extremely muscular men and did more dissections than the average doctor (apologies for image quality but it shows my point)
so yeah please dont learn to draw men from tutorials that look like that. learn it from secret pope-sanctioned dissections
Anyway all men should look like those tutorials if they want to be respected. a man who doesnt do his best to be visually appealing is worthless and shouldnt be depicted in art
