Way back in 2010, Fully Charged Show came for a spin in the Nemesis with Dale. Hereās a throwback to the first time Robert Llewellyn took the first electric powered supercar out on the road. http://socsi.in/dJFqo Want to know more about the Nemesis? Come see it and talk to the Electric Highway team at Fully Charged Live, Silverstone, this weekend.
Good news- last year the world set a new record for building new forms of renewable energy! Bad news- global energy emissions still increased... Be part of the change, switch to Ecotricity and weāll turn your bills into new sources of green energy. https://ift.tt/2HiF5Sk
EV Etiquette is a hot topic amongst electric vehicle drivers. What should and shouldn't you do at a charge point? What are the dos and donāts of car parking? Hereās Robert Llewellyn with some handy hints and tips for making your EV experience the best it can be:
Here at Ecotricity we know that a meat free diet helps to save the planet and reduce carbon emissions, and weāre not alone with our vision. In 2016 Tideford Organics Ltd went fully vegan to help protect the world we live in. They make super tasty, award-winning sauces and soups from their kitchen in Devon. Theyāre now powered with 100% renewable energy too! #PoweredbyEcotricity Read about how they found their vegan transition here: https://ift.tt/2syOdxZ
We think itās important to support our local community. Each year, we encourage every member of our team to go on a volunteering day to help organisations in the local area. Our business team recently spent the day with the Cotswold Canals Restoration The teamās mission was to construct a section of path along the canal in Brimscombe. The trust aim to open up the waterways between the Thames and the Severn to give a balance between the needs of navigation, development, recreation, heritage, landscape conservation, wildlife and natural habitats. The team shovelled, loaded wheel barrows and moved 10 tonnes of earth and rubble that constructed a section of pathway. It was great for team building and lots of fun, although the they did have a few aches and pains by the end of the day, but it was all for a good cause. With Fully Charged Show Live and #WorldEnvironmentDay coming up, weāre focusing on transport throughout June. Transport, combined with energy and food makes up 80% of our personal carbon footprints ā but thereās many ways to reduce this figure. This month weāll bring you information about our Electric Highway, facts about transport emissions and what you can do to reduce them, as well as great blogs and videos from our EV driving staff and customers. https://ift.tt/2LbyrzI
Thanks to everyone who entered our competition to win tickets to the BBCās Big Cat Talk at Festival of Nature Bristol. The winner is: Angela Weir and her overwhelmingly cute cat, Chloe! š± https://ift.tt/2J5A7KH
The UK government recently proposed radical new rules that could make it as easy for fracking companies to drill as putting up a garden shed! This would remove the rights of local people to have their say. Sign the Friends of the Earth petition to tell the UK government it canāt get away with trampling on local democracy: http://socsi.in/WtCQ3

This year saw us supporting Brighton Fringe for the first time. We really enjoyed both weekends at the event ā we had a great time meeting lots of people, playing giant snakes and ladders by Eco action games and offering Face Painting By Phoebe. We even helped the fringe go greener by powering one of their main stages with 100% renewable energy! Thank you to all of our customers who came to say hello and welcome to those who switched to us š https://ift.tt/2J0BXk4
Earth.Food.Love hit the headlines last year when they opened their doors to the public in Totnes. The UKās first āzero wasteā store has inspired, influenced and helped change the shopping habits of the locals helping them go from buying products in single use plastics in the supermarkets to buying goods in reusable, sustainable and environmentally friendly packaging. Weāre thrilled that the shop is so successful and proud to have them on supply with us. Not only are they changing the world one shopping trip at a time but theyāre also #PoweredbyEcotricity
We visited VegfestUK this weekend to spread the word about Ecotricity and our aim to make a greener Britain. The festival was packed with vegan and vegetarian food stalls, health and homewares and some great ethical clothing too. Our founder Dale Vince, had a guest spot in a Q&A talking about the vegan culture and how its made a real difference at Ecotricity and Forest Green Rovers. Thank you to everyone who attended and chatted to our team. If you entered our competition - the winner will be chosen and contacted this week. Good luck to all who took part! https://ift.tt/2GZZgVc
We visited Severn View primary school to talk about the Friends of the Earth Great British Bee count and what the school are doing to ābeeā friendly to our buzzy buddies. You can get involved with the Friends of the earth campaign, sponsored by Ecotalk and Buglife - The Invertebrate Conservation Trust here: http://socsi.in/xcPgk #GreatBritishBeeCount
Last yearās WOMAD Festival seems like it was an age ago, but you can relive our fabulous Bee Banter session on Sound Cloud now. Chaired by BBC Springwatch presenter Gillian Burke, with panelists Brigit Strawbridge, Natasha De Vere, Simon Pickering and Buglife - The Invertebrate Conservation Trust s Matt Shardlow, they discuss the challenges pollinators face, as well as what we can do to help bees.
