Hi, mod here. IRL, im a missionary, and i wanna rant so im doing it here.

I was at a church recently where a pastor threw a whole subset of other pastors under the bus for preaching about love too much. He called love weak, and said God is not weak, etc.

And honestly? That guy has no idea what Christianity is about if he thinks God's love is weak. Gods love is an Eldritch Horror. Any pastor, heck anyone who has remotely done any real studying of the bible, or of scholarly religious writing, must come to the conclusion that the most powerful force in reality, if christian writing is to be believed, is God's love. Even that's wrong, because it's not the most powerful force IN reality, it's the force that MADE reality. And it loves You, specifically. Thats frankly terrifying, and anyone who thinks that it isn't strong has a very shallow understanding of this belief system.
