writing challenge —

so i’m almost at 10.9k and i figured i’d do a writing challenge to celebrate, more specifically, a writing challenge using 5sos songs! 

the point of this challenge is that you take one of these prompts and write a piece of fiction for one of the following –

↠ tom holland ↠ harrison osterfield ↠ peter parker

i will read, reblog and add them all to a masterlist!

my only rules are as follows –

you were mad at tom. beyond mad. yet another broken promise of him coming home to you had left you feeling deflated and aggravated with him. the meals you had slaved over sat stale and cold on the dining room table, candles almost burnt to nothing but melted wax with the length of time they had been lit, and your efforts at a seductive outfit for his long awaited return had been wasted.

you looked down at yourself, the black lingerie that clung so beautifully to your body almost made you feel silly, pathetic even, since you had really believed that he’d keep his promise this time. he had called last minute, some emergency about how he was back in london but his manager had arranged some urgent meetings for him, something about possible new movies, something big. you knew it was petty but you didn’t really care what it was for; you stopped listening when he said that he wouldn’t be home until later tonight, maybe even the early hours of the morning.

the night had begun like any other friday night. friday’s had quickly become a weekly tradition to watch a movie with your boyfriend and his best friend. the three of you had grown very close over time — you did almost everything together. but once tom’s acting career had taken off, harrison going with him to be his assistant, you had seen the both of them a lot less. things had calmed down though lately. with harrison taking a step back from his assistant role, and tom finally being home from filming his latest movie, every friday became a time for the three of you to catch up with each other.

you shuffle, repositioning yourself to lean against harrison’s right side, cuddling into him. the blanket you had once pulled up to your chin is now pooled around your waist, the heat in the room increasing the longer you all stay there. you look over to the arm chair, finding tom slumped against his hand, eyes closed as he snores gently. you giggle — he’s always exhausted these days.
