Don’t be a “respect is earned not given” kind of person
Be a “respect is given unless proven undeserved” kind of person

“You don’t realize how alone you are until you’re staying up every night thinking about things you should never think of and you can’t tell anybody because you have nobody to tell”
-the suicide effect

Hilda by Duane Bryers
More Hilda!!
in this family we love and support Hilda.
Yes! Hilda!
What i love about this artist’s depictions of women is even the sexualized ones the woman is always genuinely happy and enjoying herself. Frolicking or making funny faces, she’s living her life and looking sexy while doing it, not sitting in a sexual pose for the audience’s view.
I always forget about Hilda and am so pleased when she randomly shows up on my dash. Always makes my day
I love Hilda so much and I want her to be happy
We love Hilda
experience with lgbt ppl who have always lived in relatively safe, relatively lgbt friendly urban areas: love you guys mostly but some of you seemingly have no fear or no experience with the general state of being lgbt outside of this sphere
feel like i should make it clear that this isnt implying theres some sort of “urban privilege” thing going on here, and not every lgbt person in urban places has access to or benefits from the kind of safe-ish gay centers im talking about, just that its very obvious when people DO and have no experience otherwise and thus cant understand things like not wanting to reclaim certain words that are pretty commonly used in the vernacular in some lgbt spaces, or Wanting to be referred to by their deadname/misgendered in public.Â
people growing up in places with no connection to the community at large aside from a few friends, or no connection to the community AT ALL aside from themselves, tend to have very different experiences than people who have always had the community around them in a major way and its good to just keep in mind
being an adult is just. you wake up and tell other people your back hurts
